Photos of Shed Hair > Comparison Mar 18, 2016 VS Mar 24, 2016

Back to Back photos of shed hair I experienced last week VS this week.

As you can see I experienced a little bit more shedding this week, but nothing over the top.
If you know any remedies to reduce shedding please share.

Thanks!

Quick Update re: Doctor Appointment & Shedding Hair (Photos Incl'd)

Quick update regarding my appointment, it went fairly well; However, I didn’t get a complete blood test done. My *new* family physician did inform me, based on the blood results she had received from my prior visit at the Walk-in Clinic that my white blood cells, lymphocytes was slightly higher than normal –“nothing to worry about” she said, but overall everything looked fine; my iron, hemoglobin, etc. looked good. Mind you, this was my first visit meeting my Doctor, so I did fill her in on my hair transplant procedure, excessive shedding I was experiencing after the procedure and medications (over-the-counter/prescriptions) that I was taking and currently am.

I’m not sure if I mentioned this in one of my reviews, but when I noticed I was experiencing excessive shedding I had a feeling it might have been because I was low in iron, so I made my way to the nearest Wal-Mart Pharmacy and bought myself two over-the counter Iron supplements called “Euro-Fer” and have been taking them religiously every day since. Prior to the surgery when I would occasionally get a complete blood test done, iron deficiency was a concern that the Doctors would bring to my attention and would recommend that I take iron supplements (mentioned above). I would do just that, but I wasn’t consistent or I would just stop taking it all together (that’s my fault).

Now that I’ve been consistently taking my daily dosage, I’ve noticed that my hair isn’t shedding as much as it did 2 months ago (as you can see in the pictures). The iron supplements definitely helped. I still need to get another complete blood test done, but that will be first week of May to check if there has been a raise in lymphocytes and the cause of that.

I do have an upcoming appointment scheduled in two weeks, due to stress & depression, but that’s another story.

I hope this was helpful – XO!

6 Months Post Photos & Possibly 2nd FUT Procedure?

The attached photos were taken last week, so here is where I currently stand at six months post. Even though my native hair has been going through an episode the transplanted area is doing just fine, as you can see.

You may be wondering, "why the heck does she have a black outline on her forehead?! ", Lol. Well I am contemplating on getting a 2nd procedure done to lower my hairline just a tad bit. My forehead is way too high and I don't find it flattering for my face. I'm going to wait it out though and see how my hair looks after my 1 year post. I'm thinking maybe once my hair grows out it will frame my face and therefore I won't need to get a 2nd procedure done, but who knows? I'm just going to have to wait and see. I've emailed Dr.Frank in regards to getting a 2nd procedure last week, haven't heard back from him yet.

What do you all think, should I get a 2nd procedure or it's not necessary?
