I'm 5'4, 43 yo and I'm going from a 36h to a 36c. I am equally parts excited and terrified. My fear comes from the fact that I've always embraced my curves and I identify as a curvy girl. I'm worried that I may look unbalanced after the procedure, but I think the pros outweigh the cons ultimately. I mean, what good is the pencil test anyway?
I'm excited too!
Physical benefits: alleviating neck/back pain, no more sweat/rash underneath, no more wrangling the girls into a bra that they just want to escape from, no more having to fish things out of my very deep cleavage
Looking forward to wearing cuter tops, cuter bras, cuter swimsuits. Not having to buy two sizes bigger than what I need just so that I don't offend someone.
I will post more during the countdown to surgery as I anticipate I will be going through all of the feelings. All of them. Ever.
Also, I am so happy that I found this forum. It has really helped me work through a lot so far.

This site has been so helpful. I saw another user post a before and after picture in her post-op goal-sized bra. I tried on a bra that is a 36c and well...if I hadn't made up my mind before, this pushed me over the edge. I'm getting more excited - 1 month to go. The pic of the beige bra is a current bra (36H) and the dark bra is the C. (I'm sure that's obvious, but just writing it out for posterity)

You can still be curvy at a C! And once the boobs are smaller and lifted up more you can actually see your torso/waist area instead of everything blending together in a lump or having things hang off your boobs tent-style! I am a similar size to you and can't wait to get rid of the boxy look in clothes-I don't ever wear anything that isn't stretchy because I hate the way it just goes straight down from the widest point!
