23 Weeks Post-op 34DDD 600cc Mentor Saline

$5,657
It has been a while since I have posted an update. I am almost 6 months post-op now, and I am still quite happy that I made the decision to get this done. I did gain a little weight post-op and I am working on losing weight. I was measured today at Victoria Secret at 34DDD. I really wanted to get measured at Nordstrom but the closest one that has a bra specialist is about an hour and a half drive, so when I called Nordstrom, they referred me to VS. So I went there and their bra specialist (Amber) said my band was between 32 and 34 (probably because of the weight gain) and my cup is a DDD. I was wearing a DD when I went in to be measured, and I told Amber it felt tight. She told me immediately that I measured a DDD. I didn't buy any new bras to show off, because they had a limited stock of 34DDD's, so I will have to shop online. Anyway, I am still happy with the size. They look like they could be mine and my fiance says he is amazed at how natural they feel.

Looking good. That size fits you! I'm all for large implants, obviously. I think they gave you amazing curves. Enjoy it!!
As far as Nordstrom's...I HIGHLY recommend making that trip for a second opinion. They have a better track record for accuracy and not putting you on sizes they sell, than vs. up to you. But worth the trip, imho.
Enjoy your fab curves!! :-)
Thanks PillowTops!

I may make the trip to Nordstrom once I start shopping for the holidays, the lady from Nordstrom also recommended Lane Bryant for having bra specialists available and there is one closer to me, but i have not seem many reviews on them.
Thank you for the continuous up dates. I go through these waves of doubt and then I read your success story and I get excited all over again. I'm legitimately happy for you and hope to find the same happiness myself Thanks again, Liz
Hi Liz, I've seen some of your comments and hope u are supported in your journey of considering BA, it's a difficult choice. You asked about long term, my twin sister had them 20 years ago, had a child 9 years ago and had no issues, still got same implants. She had overs so I chose to go over too. Good luck with your decision :)
Thanks Liz :) I am truly happy that I made this choice, and I believe that finding the right doctor is key to being happy with the results.
Hi, thank you for this info. it makes me so comfortable that your sister had hers that long with no complications. This is a decision that needs to be properly research and this information means more than words can express. I am happy when I look in the mirror but just because I am aging it doesn't mean I have to bow down to it. I would like to see a fuller perkier breast that fits my already fit body but a size that fits my 5'2" frame. When I discussed my concerns with my doctor his response was I put breast implants in on Fridays and I remove them on Mondays. When I questioned him on his comment about removals he would only say for various reasons and not explain why women were having them removed. That made me doubt him and myself. Its RealSelf that dials me back in and makes me think that it's probably not bad implants just bad doctors.
thank you again,
Liz
I have to say that I know quite a few ladies who have had the surgery done, and I don't know of one who regretted it. I believe that a great doctor will give you the results you seek. I have to say that I am now 6 months post-op and every day I look in the mirror, I am happier with the way they continue to look better and better each day. They look and feel natural. My fiance' was worried that going so large with saline, they would not look or feel "real." However, now that time has passed, he has commented so many times that he is amazed at how they look and feel natural to him. With my fiance' working in family practice medicine, his biggest concern was making sure that my doctor is a board certified plastic surgeon, because a board certified plastic surgeon, is one who specializes in plastic surgery. My PS did a great job, he is a board certified plastic surgeon, and I am glad that my fiance' stressed the importance of my doctor's credentials.

Maybe you should look into other doctors? If the doctor you have spoken to has made you feel uncomfortable in any way - this is probably not the best one for you. This is a big decision, you need to 100% confident in the person you decide to perform the surgery. And when you are 100%, you will likely feel more confident in your decision to go through with it and you will likely be happy with the results.
Glad it helps. I went with an organisation called Transforming Lives in U.K. Who deal with all the credentials - are cheaper than going private and do all the insurance and have their own hospitals and clinics. They showed me B4 and after pics of my chosen surgeon. Not sure where you are but may be worth looking into this as it worked out about £3 grand cheaper and all the surgeons they use have their own private practices too.
That is wonderful that they have that choice for you. I live in the US, this type surgery is not covered by insurance it is considered an elective surgery and therefore not necessary. I have to finance it, put it on a credit card or come up with the cash.
I had to pay for mine - was £8k private or £4.5k with the clinic, same surgeons! Crazy huh! It's the clinic that offers the insurance for any after care needed up to 3 years which is good. R all the PS's in US private?

11 Weeks Post-op... Incision scars are starting to fade :)

I am 11 weeks post op now and do not much to report, still dropping and fluffing.

The dryness on my left nipple has subsided, I started using Lanolin on it morning and night, and it made a huge difference, not sure if the cream my PS gave me helped, but glad that I am no longer peeling on my nipple.

I took pictures of my incisions today, just above my incisions you can see dents from the tight sports bra I was wearing, the right incision is located at the crease and is barely noticeable. The left incision is fading, I am using the cream twice a day, plus still using bio-oil.

The girls are still dropping and fluffing, they are feeling softer and fluffier everyday but still have more dropping to do....

In a week I will be able to return to full upper body exercise :) YAY!

I am very happy with the progress I am making so far.

What size are you wearing now! They look great!!
Thank you :) Depends on the brand of bra - I gained weight during recovery so my band went up to 34. In these pictures I am wearing 34DD VS, no wire push-up bra, I can also fit some 34DDD, depending on the brand.
I guess I should also mention, I still have little nipple sensation. I can feel a little bit on the left side, but nothing on the right side.
You really did drop and fluff, what a difference! Looking more beautiful every time you post, great results!!!!
Lissa thank you - I believe I still have more dropping and fluffing to go, but I am happy so far with the way things are unfolding ;)

How are you doing?
You should be very happy, you look perfect! I am also doing well now, thank you! Yay for us!
Thank you, I am very happy with my results so far! It is good to hear that you are doing well, after your second surgery :)
Hey Hun, looking great. What did you use for the scars? When did you begin using it? Is there anything you learned that you had not planned for, but wish you knew ahead of time? I'm 24 day pre op and want to be prepared for everything. Thx
Hi Shelly! I used Scar Esthetique you can get it on Amazon, my sister bought it for me and I am still using the one she got me before surgery. I started using it as soon as my bandages came off, about 2 weeks post-op, I use it morning and night, I feel like the scars are fading nicely. I also used bio-oil pre-surgery and after surgery for the first 3 months, to prevent stretch marks, and it worked - I didn't have any stretch marks from the implants. I put the bio-oil on top of the Scar Esthetique morning and night also.

If there was one thing I wish I was better prepared for it was having lots of ice ready during the recovery, thankfully my fiance took care of that, he went out and bought some for me and made my ice packs. I iced for about 3 straight days and it made a huge difference.

Also, I didn't expect to have limited arm use for the first few days (the implants are placed under the muscle). I was able to go to the bathroom on my own and wash myself, however, I needed help getting up from bed and up and out of a chair. I was lucky that I had help with me for the first couple of weeks. Also, I had to have someone to open my pill bottles because I could not grip them to open them for about 3 weeks, if you don't have someone to help you, I recommend you open all of your medication bottles before surgery and put them loose in a labeled zip lock bag, so you can take your medications.

Pre-surgery, I had read stories of ladies experiencing extreme chest tightness - and that had to be one of the worst experiences that I felt in recovery, but there is really no way to prepare for that, but it was the most uncomfortable thing for me, the chest tightness afterwards. It does fade in time though, it is just a weird/heavy feeling. When/If you go through that phase just remember it will pass, you will feel better in time, and almost everyone complains of the chest tightness after surgery.

I guess I am about 14 weeks post-op now, and thankfully I really haven't had any serious issues, as time passes, the girls look more and more natural and are becoming more soft and bouncy. I am starting to feel that I look better in clothes now. In the beginning, I thought I looked weird, because the implants were so high up towards my collarbone, so I was a little self-conscious about that, but now, they look great. I will post new pictures some time this week.

And, since I was restricted to no upper body exercise (because the implants went under the muscle) I did gain some unwanted weight. I think the only way to prevent weight gain after surgery when you are ordered to restrict exercise is to eat clean and refrain from junk food until you get back to the gym.

Patience is needed on the recovery journey - I was told by my PS that I may not know my actual size for up to a year post-op. I am usually very patient, but will admit, I have not been the most patient person during my recovery!

The things that bothered me in the healing process were really minor. Before surgery, I was more afraid of the "surgery" part, but in the end the surgery was the easiest part, I was well taken care of. The recovery part takes time and lots of patience. You will do just fine :) Good luck in your procedure!
SNYC2017, thank you. This is really helpful. I plan to order the scar cream and small ice bags for after the sx. Did you use the band to get the swelling down? I've been using rosehip oil on my breast for a couple months, each day. It was recommended to soften the skin and aereola in preparation for the sx. I'm having a lift so I am really focused on preparing my body as much as possible. I have bio oil from my TT. I'll use that too for the next few weeks. It can't hurt. If you have any other advice, I'd appreciate it. Thanks again.
I did get a compression band at my first post-op appointment and my fiance believes it helped a lot. For the first couple weeks I used it 24 hours a day, and then I switched to just using it at night while I slept. I continued to use it while I slept, up until I was 3 months post-op, just because I liked having the support at night.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask ;) I found this website incredibly helpful when I began my journey.
Thx s much. The website is amazing. It was a great resource for me pre and post my TT/BBL sx. I see your profile and you were very petite before your sx. You aren't having issues with the weight of them or finding clothes to fit your body? Because I'm getting mine done away from my home town, I don't have the luxury to visit the Dr's office and check out sizers etc. how did you decide on your CC? You have been so helpful and I appreciate it. Thank you again.
At first wearing clothes was awkward for me right after the surgery, because my implants were up really high up and they were shaped weird and hard. I didn't like the way I looked in tops, until they started to drop and fluff - it was a little depressing to see at first. At the same time, because of this website and following other ladies on their journey, I knew that most women go through that "Franken-boob" phase and that the girls will eventually drop and fluff and look great once the swelling stops, so I was able to cope with it.

I weighed 117lbs prior to surgery, I am 5'1 most of my clothes (tops) were a S or XS. After the surgery I am still able to wear most of my tops, I just look better in them now ;) because now I have cleavage and I feel more feminine and beautiful in my clothes. Also, I don't always have to wear a bra, just nipple covers and the girls still look great in tops. So, no I don't find it hard to find clothes to wear.

Bra's are another thing, I am 3.5 month still wearing mostly sports bras. I have bought some "temporary" bras and quickly grew out of them. At this point, I still don't know what my final "size" will be, but I am okay with it if they keep getting bigger as they continue to settle (my PS said this could take up to a full year and that everyone is different in their healing journey!).

As far as the "weight" of them goes, at first they were a little heavy, like in the first couple of weeks post-op I felt like they were hard and heavy and tight, but as time went on, I barely noticed the heavy feeling. My fiance was worried I would have back problems with the size I chose, but I really don't have any complaints. I got used to them being large really fast - and really this is what I wanted, larger, fuller breasts, so I am happy, regardless of the weight they added.

As far as choosing CC, I personally wanted to go as big as possible but still look natural, I wanted to be a full D or DD at least. My PS measured my chest and said I could go into the DD's easily and still look natural. At my pre-op appointment I decided on 500cc overfilled to 550cc, but a few days before my surgery - like 4 days prior, I had second thoughts (AKA boob greed), I had read a lot of stories on here about women who had buyers remorse because they didn't go big enough. So, at the last minute I called my PS and asked if I could go as big a 600cc and still look natural and was told that I could and that is what I went with.

In the first phases of healing post-surgery, I went back and forth with thinking I was either too big or not big enough. That is because they were shaped weird and sitting up high, towards my collar bone, and they felt so hard. However, as my breasts started to soften up and take more of a natural shape, I realized they are perfect in size. They are not too big and not too small. They are just right. I can conceal them if I want to, or show some nice cleavage if I want to - I got exactly what I wanted with 600cc. I have no regrets with the size I chose, my breasts are large and full, not too big and not too small, they look natural, like they really could be mine :)

I would advise you to choose CC based on what you would like to achieve with this surgery - this is a big change and you gotta decide if you want to go big and look natural, or be full breasted but still conservative, or go huge and project a fake look - what are you trying to achieve? It's your body so whatever you choose is cool, you are doing this for you! If your doctor cannot measure you prior to surgery, do some research and see how to measure yourself to get an idea of how big you can go and call to ask you PS what your options are based on the look you want to achieve.

Personally, I have been flat chested my whole life and I wanted to go as big as possible, but still look natural. When considering size you need to remember that when the implants are placed, you lose a little bit of the volume when they go in your body, especially when it is under the muscle like mine you can lose 10-15% of the size - and when I chose my CC, I kept this in mind.

I hope this helps :)
Wow! I can't thank you enough. You've been extremely helpful. I appreciate you. I remember going through m previous sx and meeting girls who were just starting their journey. I was able to be a resource for them also. Good Karma brings good karma.
:)
Congratulations Incisions look great, everything is moving along as planned. Thank you for the update. I know it doesn't sound like much to you but to someone planning on doing this surgery it means a lot. Thank you, Liz
Thank you Liz, I am happy with my results so far! I found this website very helpful when I began my BA journey. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
Thank you for your kindness, as you know it is a big decision and one that take the support of someone that has been through it. I will be asking you questions along the way. Thanks so very much

10 Weeks Post-op Today! 600CC Breast Augmentation Saline HP Unders

Today I am 10 weeks post-op! The girls are continuing to drop and fluff, and they are getting softer every day. I still have to wait another 2 weeks before I return to full body exercise (my PS has me waiting the entire 3 months before returning to upper body exercise), however, I have been doing a lot more lower body exercise and it feels good to be more and more active. I took a couple pics this morning in a bikini top - I am not that great at snapping selfies, so the pics aren't very stable. In the picture where I am facing forward it looks like the right side is a little bigger than the left, but it's really just the way I am holding my phone that is making them look a little uneven. They are pretty even, and they are dropping and fluffing at the same rate - so I have no complaints there!

That's all I've got to report for now - Happy healing everyone :)
