I am finally posting pictures of my chest. I had my procedure done in March 2011 and had to hunt down my before pictures. I had to block out my nipples, so the husband wouldn't get upset lol. Sorry for the large bandaid looking stickers, they are the only thing I could find with the app I have loaded. Hopefully you still get the idea of what I look(ed) like. I am over 2 years post op at this point. I have had to see my PS twice in the last year just for concerns I had. The first was with some pain I was having under one of my breasts. That turned out to be caused from my BA scar tissue (I have hypertrophic scars). Over time my scars are getting thinner and less red, and with that, the pain I was having has gone. Hypertrophic scars are a pain in the ass. I have had them with every major cut or scrape on my body, I did not know what they were or that they were even abnormal scars until I had my BA. For me at least, these type of scars stay red and raised for years, then all of a sudden (it seems like) I look down and can hardly tell a scar was there. I hoping this is what will happen over time with my BA scars. On a side note, they itched like crazy for about a year and a half! The other reason I went to my PS was because I can occasionally see my implant through my skin near my sternum. I could also feel this popping when I would press on it. It turns out that I have almost zero breast tissue lol, and along with that the chest muscle is the thinnest near your sternum and armpit. When you add thin muscle and no breast tissue, there is a chance you will see and feel the implant in those areas easily. I have lost a little over 20 lbs since having my BA, and even though I didnt have much going on in my chest to begin with, Im sure I lost some additional weight there and that is why I probably didn't notice it in the beginning. Outside of those two things I have not had any issues and am 100% satisfied with my results and am very happy I made the choice to have BA.

I had always had a small chest (size A cup), and...

I had always had a small chest (size A cup), and even though I am 5'8 I had always been ok with it. Prior to becoming pregnant with my first child my weight was at 155, I then got up to 230 and my cup size changed to an E. After I quit breast feeding my cup went to a B, but I was left with loose skin and sagging tissue. I decided then, once I was done having children, that I was going to work hard to lose the weight that I had enjoyed a little too much putting on, and I was going to fill up my "cow utters". :-) I ended up going with 421 cc silicone for my implants which took me from my A/B cup to a C/D cup depending on the brand. I am 5'8 and 138 lbs now. For me the first 4 days were the worst, my chest felt very tight and bruised, I felt like I was a football player with tight shoulder pads on or something. I was also very out of it and depressed those 4 days too, which I believe was the pain medicine, because I stopped taking it on day 5 and I felt my head clear and I started to feel better after that. I took 10 days off of work and was able to return just fine after that, I just could lift anything. The only issue I have that seems to be rare is that my body creates hypertrophic scarring when the cut is deep, and since these were deep lacerations, my scarring itched like crazy for over a year and a half, and two years later my scars are still pretty pink and puffy. With time though hypertrophic scars do normally fade it just takes a long time.

I met with a couple different PS in Columbus Ohio, but Dr. Donaldson was the most detailed, patient, and professional (I immediately saw why people referred to him as a perfectionist). His staff, from his receptionist to his nurse Bobbie, are so very warm and friendly. Bobbie makes you feel so comfortable like you are family! It made my decision to go with him very easy. Dr. Donaldson calls you the night after your surgery to see how you are feeling, and if you ever have any concerns or questions, I have never had any issues making an appointment or speaking with him or his nurse Bobbie. My results are beautiful, very natural. I have close friends and family that couldn't even tell I had BA done until I told them! This surgery was done 2 years ago and I am filling this out now because yesterday I had Dr. Donaldson complete my Tummy Tuck also, I would not trust any other PS with my body, he is the best!!!
