I've always been large breasted since I was 11. Being 5'5" and weigh about 150lbs and wore a 36DDD bra. I suffer from frequent migraines, back and neck pain. I met with Dr. Lefkowitz and felt so comfortable and at ease that I booked my appointment that day.
I had my procedure yesterday and when I saw them today I was over joyed. I'm a little swollen and sore, but have no regrets at all. I can't wait to see the final results

Congratulations to you as well. I think the hardest part is remembering that I can't just jump into doing everything I normally do right away. I was able to shower today so at least I feel human now. I can't wait for the swelling to go down

I know is hard, but we must let our bodies heal. Swelling and nipples sensitivity it's unreal.

Hi! Doing good on my right side is almost 100% but left one is still a 80% . I have a scabs they don't look ready to come off, they're sticking to my gauzeand i am afraid to pull them off.. my doctor told me to washed them off with dial soap and don't put none on it. Haven't done yet.. scared i will make a whole. I hope u healing better than me!

lol....I did the same thing!! But the dial soap works really good, I also try a dew times a day to,"peel" the cause/bra up and stand in front of a fan. We are in SC and the humidity is awful

Just curious to see how you are doing. I am about the same stature as you and am presently the same size. I am having my surgery Aug 18th and what an idea of how things are for you today.

How long were you in pain? Was it unbearable?

I can truly say... I had minor pain the next day, more so from the drains then the stitches . you might find you don't even need the pain medication, by the third day, I was good, I did not need anything. The hardest part was the wait.. just waiting in the hospital before surgery. the best feeling is waking up knowing its done... feel like teenager on top

Hi! My pain was worse about 4 days after the surgery, than immediately following. I was pretty uncomfortable until last Sunday (2.5 weeks after) then it was like I woke up Sunday and felt human. I went back to work Tuesday and have done well, I'm a little swollen by the end of the day so ice packs and Tylenol it is.

babyca, I'm glad your doing so well!! Thankfully I didn't have the drains. I went last Monday for a check and they said they looked perfect! Said there was still a lot of swelling especially on the top so I would still get smaller as the time went on. I'm so glad I was finally able to have it done

Congratulations!!! So glad you're doing well...I just got my insurance approval and can't wait. It's not for 6 more weeks so I can't wait to see your progress. How are you feeling now? How's everything healing? Kudos to you for being on the 'other side' of surgery!

Isn't it almost worse than waiting for Christmas as a child?? I felt like the closer it got the slower time went. Which on one hand I was happy about, my husband left they same day as my surgery for deployment training. He comes home tomorrow for 3 weeks and will see them for the first time, haven't shown him pictures, nothing.
Yesterday was the day I've been waiting for, I finally felt human and like I was me again. I'm not a sit still person but was determined not to mess this up. My Dr. only gave 2 days pain meds, I'm not sure how your pain tolelrance is, but I had to BEG for more, I couldn't get relief days 4-16. Still absolutely no regrets, had the steri strips removed today and the Nurse said they look "perfect" still quite swollen, which I was happy to hear, now I know they will get smaller still and I can start using scar cream/silicone sheets.

Please let me know how you do!!!!

I will!! Thanks to your hubby for his service... I'm sure it was hard on you both to have him gone while you were recuperating. You must be so happy he'll be home for a few weeks! I've become more of a baby the older I've become. Lol. I'll probably be begging for meds too.

Day Before and 2.5 Weeks After Breast Reduction and Lift

User Avatar

Today is the first day since surgery I feel human and I'm so excited, I'm going to Wal-Mart, lol
I've attached the day befire photo and today's photo, looking at them I see a difference, but not the drastic one I was hoping for. I was an 36DDD and the Dr removed about 650cc from each breast. I know there is still swelling and I am overall very happy, what I can tell so far the scaring isn't to bad. I still have the stereo strip covering the lateral incision, I'll get that taken off tomorrow.

Hi. Congrats! I'm a month post-op. I keep reading that you won't know results for 6-12 months, so I'm looking forward to next summer! I think it happens to everyone-"Am I small enough?" I keep telling people, "They're going to get smaller!" (I'm telling myself too). It's a roller coaster ride, the recovery, but as long as you sit around as much as you can, you'll be good. Normal to swell up if you do too much; just do less the next day. Normal for boobs to feel like rocks. Normal to feel zingers and see bruising. After 3 or 4 weeks, you'll feel great. Take care!

Oh my gosh! You look great! Maybe you don't see it yet, but there's a big difference in your before and after photos... thanks for sharing. My surgery isn't for 6 more weeks so I'm living vicariously through you for now. I'm curious if you have any idea yet of what your approximate final 'size' might be?? I think you look great (and happy)!!!
