I've been a stable H cup since 14 years old, all...
I've been a stable H cup since 14 years old, all the way up until now, my sophomore year of university. Since middle school I've endured years of back pain and migraines from the strain my boobs had put on my back and neck. I was never able to find any clothes that fit and I always felt like my chest was not in proportion with my petite stature. I even had to buy my prom dress in a size 16 and get it taken down to an 6 at the waist just to accommodate my chest. I got recommended for a breast reduction by my GP and a chiropractor, so the surgery was cleared by insurance to be covered.
I got the surgery and was taken down from a 36H to a 36C, which was even better than I expected and hoped for. The recovery a bit of a slower process than what I had read about before undergoing the procedure. I had heard a lot that around 3 weeks was the turning point in recovery in which people stop experiencing a lot of pain and wounds started to close more. In my case, major pain extended into around 5 weeks if not longer after the surgery, keeping in mind that my pain tolerance is quite high and I did without taking any oxy after the initial dose because I didn't like the side effects it gave me. I also experienced complications with one of my breasts in terms of incision recovery. My left breast was healing great while the right one rejected the stitches after a couple weeks and an area of the incisions opened up at the point where the vertical and horizontal incisions meet up at the bottom of the breast. Because of of that, at almost 10 months post-op, my left breast has minimal scarring while my right breast has much wider and visible scarring.
But in all honesty, if you are in enough pain physically and emotionally because of having such large breasts, scarring is the least of your concerns. It was honestly one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had forgotten what it was like to live without back pain after enduring it for so long. I suffer from migraines a great deal less. All that's left now is to correct the years of bad posture my big boobs forced me into. I finally feel like I look and can dress like my age. I can finally wear things as a 20 year old girl that I had never gotten to wear in my teens because they never fit or looked right on me.
