I can't believe my date is set for this...

I can't believe my date is set for this transformation. I've been wanting it for so long. RealSelf, nerves, and excitement have over taken my life . I'm obsessively researching. The plan is for TT, MR, BA, and lipo of flanks. I have never had a flat tummy. The dream of having a flatter stomach was my main driving force, but after breastfeeding 3 kids, age, and gravity my breast need attention too. So mommy makeover it is! The countdown is on...

Nurses can be the worst patients

I am struggling with the idea of relying on needing so much help post op. No one in my family is medical and I'm not sure they are prepared for the drains, incisions/scars, pain, and their momma down. I have always been very independent, plus I'm a nurse and I know I can be a difficult patient and don't always following the rules, but I am going to this time! I know I can't be a hero. I know I'm going to need help and I'm going to have to let go of some control and let others help me for a change. I just feel bad, bc it's an elective surgery. My family is all very supportive and encouraging. Which I'm so grateful for. I just don't know if they fully understand what to expect post op those first few days. There's no cute baby like last time they helped LOL. Anyone else struggling with guilt and losing temporary independence?

Some post op items. What am I missing?

So I decided to start buying some post op items I may need. So far I have:
Cotton panties
Ice pack
Heating pad
Guaze pads
Paper tape
Neosporin
Tylenol
Bromelain
Arnica Montana
Multivitamin
Alcohol wipes
Hibiclens
Walker
I know there are more things I'm going to need like stool softener, baby wipes, pill case, protein powder, silicone scar tape... what other suggestions do you guys have?

Provider Review

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
830 Tenderfoot Hill Rd., Colorado Springs, Colorado
Overall rating

I have the utmost respect for Dr. Raskin and his staff. They are friendly, helpful, respectful and most importantly knowledgeable! From consultation to pre op, to post op, to recovery Dr. Raskin has been incredible. He is very experienced. Well educated. Trust worthy. Everything you want and need in a plastic surgeon. He is not a man to tell you what you want to hear. He is factual and realistic. It's been super easy to make appts....any time I have had a question or concern its been addressed almost immediately or within 5mins. No joke. His staff is the sweetest and beyond friendly. I had a "Mommy Makeover". For me it included tummy tuck, muscle repair, lipo of my flanks, and breast augmentation. Only 3wks out and I can't believe my results this far. I absolutely, hands down would recommended my friends, family, and anyone else to go visit him for a free consultation.
