Tummy Tuck with Felipe Amaya almost killed me and he didn’t care. Horrible experience!!

In September 2015 I went for a second time with Dr. Felipe Amaya in Bogota, Colombia l since my previous experience had been wonderful so I went back and Dr Felipe Amaya performed a tummy tuck and supposedly a liposculpture also and the surgery was a complete disaster as I ended up having a septic shock, I had to be intubated on life support and I almost died, all because there were inside my abdomen three large seromas completely rotten that a few months later had to be surgically removed.

After I miraculously recovered from having a septic shock I contacted Dr. Felipe Amaya and showed him the bump in my abdomen, I couldn’t see my own feet, it was terrifying! And he said that I was just swollen, that I was looking like I was just gaining weight; when I told him that he did that to me he called me a liar, said that the surgery was a success (I have the texts with him saying that) and completely disregarded my situation that caused me tens of thousands of dollars in hospital, CCU, ICU stays.

Then paying for surgeries where another surgeon had to reconstruct my abdominal wall, reconstruction of my belly button because he completely got rid of my belly button and in the last post op he just made a cut with a scalpel that once he cut, so much liquid came out of my abdomen through it and he said that was normal and once back to the States I was draining through the “belly button”.

The cut he sewn it very tight to give the appearance of a belly button but that when my abdomen was swollen it looked like what it was, a scar of a cut (his technique that he’s so proud about), reshape my buttocks as they were literally shaped like a square, losing wages due to my work absences that almost costed me my job, and the attorney fees for my subsequent divorce which in reality, is now the only thing I thank Dr. Felipe Amaya for.

I appealed to his good faith, to just reimburse me what I paid him for that disastrous surgery, to have at least a feeling of justice and good faith, but instead I only got to be insulted in texts that I still have. I hope my horrible nightmare helps someone, anyone and save someone from going through all Dr. Felipe Amaya put me through because the worst part is that he does not care.

I also hope that this truthful review doesn’t get deleted or hidden like on Google and if you look at his Facebook page you will understand that there’s a reason why his page doesn’t allow reviews or recommendations and I think it’s my responsibility to make other people aware of the dangers and people need to read this and look at the pictures I’m attaching to this review.
