I am writing this review having completd my 14 days after the treatment post care therapy. I am going to speak about the overall experience as well as medical care. I am 40 years old woman from US , nurse by occupation. I had 2 large for gestational age children post C'section, and had been asked many times if I still were pregnant, when in fact I was not. So having my primary concern with abdominal distention, loose skin and usightly siluette I decided to get all the works. It is very nervewrecking to make a decsion to travel to another country especially if you do not speak the language and there is more then enough Debbie downers to tell you that you are a Kamikazi to do something like that. However Dr.Amayas before and afters spoke louder then any adds. The tight corset of the abdominal wall, amazing breast augmentation, advanced liposculpture and etching not to mention his nose job results.My nursing experience did help me to feel more prepared as this was a major procedure. And I feel that I had realistic expectations. Upon arrival to Bogotta I checked into a hotel where I was to stay for another 15 days. I had room services and food was delivered from a services domiciles. I had prepared to my surgery 24 hours later, labs were drawn, the plastic surgeon and Anesthesiologist went over my medical history every little detail was checked. I was alerted that procedure will take 4,5 hours which is amazing in USA I was told by 2 plastic surgeons that it would be 6 to 7 hours and they might have to bring me out from under anesthetsia in the middle. I was alterted that I will be kept in patient observation overnight due to how involved my procedure was. I think what amazed me the most is that Dr.Amaya was available immediately after my procedure to check for complication, then I had 1 nurse just designated to me post op for 12 hours and one doctor was assigned for the night shift just to make sure I and another patient was ok. The recovery was hard for 3 days and better after. I was released 24 hours after with a nurse that went with me to the hotel. I felt absolutely papmered as she asisted me with showers, run errands and helped with evrything. I had to attend 10 therapy sessions in Dr.Amayas office which helped with recovery, sticthes, drains and supported me.
