6 Month Update

WORTH IT
Well, I haven't been on here in a while and I thought I'd give you all an update!
I'm so happy that I've been able to maintain my body after 6 months. Of course I've incorporated workouts and clean eating. Just looking at my before pictures it motivates me even more to keep taking care of my body. Its all about finding that inspiration and working hard towards achieving it. I'm 150% satisfied with the way my body is looking! Dr. Juris and his staff have reached out to make sure I'm feeling well, which is great! Remember consistency is KEY!
Below you can find some pictures ;)

Dr. Juris - Bogota, Colombia - 2 month post op Liposuclture !
Esther09August 3, 2015
This photo was taken on Friday July 31st, 2
months post op. Again, I couldn't be more satisfied with my surgery and I can't thank Dr. Juris enough for the amazing job done.
Recovery continues to go well. I didn't wear my girdle (faja) Friday because I had a business meeting and of course I wanted to show off my body with my dress. I'm still staying away from the sun. Continue to eat healthy, and do my daily workouts (mostly cardio for now).
Ps. Before I used not never wear white, now I can't stop wearing it! I've never been so proud of wearing white!

As I am considering, I just wanted to know we're you working out before the surgery and after the surgery do you feel you have any loose skin?

Update: 2 months

Well hello everyone! Tomorrow July 29th, I hit the 2 month mark. On July 11th, I had a concert, and of course I had to go shopping... Ended up buying this 2 piece! It never occurred to me that I could wear something like this! I LOVED IT!! Again, the photos were taken July 11th...Today is July 28th, so as you can imagine I'm actually lighter being that as time passes I'm less swollen and I'm also jogging 4-5 times a week (1.5 miles), I'm drinking a lot of water and of course trying to eat as healthy as I possibly can.
I've kept in contact with Dr. Juris, and he says I'm on the right track. I'm actually placing an order for the XXS "faja" because the XS is already very loose. I can honestly say it has all been worth it, my self-esteem is through the roof, I'm feeling better about myself, I'm feeling alive! I'm not going to lie, but Dr. Juris did an amazing job!

You look amazing!! How much did you loose??
July 30, 2015
Thank you! He removed a total of 13 liters which is approx. 26 pounds. I'm continue to loose more pounds and more inches.

July 30, 2015
You two!! You are making this soo hard on me!!! It would absolutely EXCEED my expectations if I had just somewhat the same results as you!! But, would still like a nice curve/bbl ;-)

August 11, 2015
I want to jump in as I love my results as well, I had surgery with Dr Juris july 6 and love results. I stayed a month, Taking it day by day as I hit the 1 month mark. I had Bichectomy on cheeks, Lipopapada on neck, tummy tuck, and Lipo all over including arms, inner thighs, etc... also stayed at recovery home, and loved it. I am happy I chose Dr Juris as he has not only become a surgeon of preference, but great friend as well. I will open my own reviews as soon as I can with pictures and all asap, just haven't had time since I came back to my family, 3 girls and husband! ! Lol. It has been a handful since I got back, but they love the new person!!! Anyone feel free to contact me as well, and I will due my post soon. Good luck to all!!
August 11, 2015
Hi please tell me how much you paid in total for all those procedures because it is likely i will need similar job
August 12, 2015
I had a liposculpture (back, front, arms and legs) I paid approx. $6,500 COP (Colombian pesos).
August 12, 2015
How Many kilos or pound ha estado you lost since your surgery? Because i am 20 kilos overwheight
August 12, 2015
I will get in contact with dr i trust all your coments, I live in Sydney Australia . How many weeks there before i am able to flight back?
August 12, 2015
Remember that this surgery is not a weightless surgery. This surgery sculpts you. Yes I've lost weight but is mostre so inches.
August 12, 2015
It depends also on your procedure and how you feel. I only needed to be there 12 days after surgery but I decided to stay 20. So it all depends in the type of surgery you get, how many you get and your health and recuperation

August 13, 2015
I agree. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and I only lost 12 pounds. All my clothes from last year fit again a few jeans won't go over my butt though. While my body is completely different now I'm still pretty much the same size
July 29, 2015
Your results are phenomenal! Congrats- u look like and must feel like a different person. I'm considering surgery in Colombia and was pretty set on going with dr.campbell in Cartagena, and couldn't do dr. Hoyos due to costs. Was wondering the costs of your surgery (did it include transportation, accomodation)? Also, can u let me know what brand fajas you used/recommend? Thanks:)
July 30, 2015
Thank you! I do feel like a totally different person! I love it! I've heard that Dr. Campbell doesn't do high volume lipo. And in regards to Dr. Hoyos, haven't heard of him. What do you want to get done?
I paid $6,500 COP (colombian pesos) for my surgery. That price included one faja, anesthesiologist, clinic, check-ups, vaser machine, a pair of anti-embolic socks, 10 post op massages, medical insurance and of course the Dr's fees ).
Now, I stayed in the recovery home with Dr. Juris mother in law. The cost of that was separate from the cost of the surgery, but it included (breakfast, lunch, dinner, laundry, transportation to and from the clinic, nurse and maid). I personally had a great experience with them; they are caring, knew what to expect, and of course have experience. Dr. Juris was available which is a plus; it was a family environment. While I was there, I stayed with another of Dr. Juris patient...she was from NY.
In regards to the fajas, I recommend the fajas from Fajas y Salud, Dr. Juris worked alongside them to come up with the best possible fajas for his patients.

Thanks for the comprehensive response:) Got a quote from him today...I'm looking to get upper arms, armpits, full back, full abdomen, thighs and calves done--his price is the best I've come across so far for all those areas! Had thigh and lower abdomen lipo locally last year but the surgeon was very conservative and the resuolts were underwhelming (plus left with dents in my stomach!) Wanting to get back a thigh gap and hoping a surgeon who is willing to be more aggressive (take higher volume of fat) will do the trick.
Sorry to continue to pepper you with questions but I find your journey very motivating/inspirational and your story and answers really help in making such a big decision. Do you know what area of Bogata the clinic is located? I'd want to stay in a hotel nearby and not do the recovery house... Also wondering if Dr. Juris speaks english or his staff do? Worried about lack of communication and issues that might arise because of it (ie. not being able to explain desired look, the Dr and I being unable to agree upon realistic expecteations, etc.) Lastly, did you use any type of lipo foam or board in your faja to ensure no creases or dents when you healed?

The clinic is on the North side of Bogota. Centro Medico Dali is the name of the place. He speaks English well but the lady at the receptionist desk doesn't . Yeli us one if the massage girls she's amazing is recommend her over the other one and she speaks some English which was a plus for me. They offer the board in the package as well. Great choice if you go with him. And I agree on Hoyos he was super expensive wayyyy out of my price range.
August 4, 2015
Hey! I'm glad you contacted him. From my experience he is the best at doing high volume procedures. Like I've told you before, I'm more than satisfied with my results. His work is impeccable and I can't that that about most doctors.
I find comfort in that others out there find my story inspirational/motivational. My goal is to tell my story, my journey so that others can make a wise and conscientious decision and experience what I've experience, because it feels amazing.
Dr. Juris and his wife speak English. Although the staff doesn't speak English, I do know that they always have English speaking patients and so far there has not been an issue.
In regards to the massage girls, I had massage done with both, but I personally prefer Nohorella over Yeli.
I'm not 100% sure about the hotels around the area. I'm sure there are. Will you be traveling alone?
In regards to the lipo foam, I used 2, also a cushion for the lower back and the board! Oh and I continue to use them. They are great. Skin is smooth and no dents or creases.
I hope I answered all your questions. Best wishes.

I never had foam only board and triangle....I wonder if this is why I developed Seromas. Did you buy the foam yourself?
August 4, 2015
Are you sure? Everyone while I was there got, faja, triangle, board and the foams. It's the 2 white ones that go on the side. Are you wearing the faja 24 hrs/ 7 days a week?

August 4, 2015
Oh yea mine were black. And yes always I'm starting to think they come from this small section of my faja under my boobs. I have double boob there like my skin bunches up right there almost like a fat roll. Along with the board that sits right there as well. I fo wear it all the time except for massages and showers I mean I might take it off for 30min here n there when I start getting antsy. Realu starting to suspect faja I have two that are the same I bought from clinic and I wear them more than the other two.
August 4, 2015
Are you wearing the tank top under the faja? I can't be without the board. That thing does wonders! At first, it also was uncomfortable because it was going under the boobs, but for like two days, I put a cushion (I put a pad). Then there was no need for me to keep putting the pad there. Try putting a pad there, I'm sure it will help.
During the 2 months, I never took it off (only for showers/massages); I also got antsy at times, but I kept thinking of end results, and I sucked it up. It's very important that you have it on at all times, especially the first 2 months since your skin is like clay; thats when the molding basically happens. (If I took it off two times its a lot, 1 time when I went shopping and was trying on clothes and when I had the concert that I wore the 2 piece)
Now, that I hit the 2 month mark, I took it off last week for a business meeting at work, that's when I wore the white dress.

No I love my board too I'm just starting to think that its playing a major part in my seromas. They are literally on my upper abdomen right where the faja and board sits. My massage ladies keep sayin not to use it but it makes me feel whole! Idk ill keep you updated I have a follow up visit with a surgeon here today at 2pm
August 4, 2015
Keep me posted, and try what I said, get a pad and place it right in the area between your boobs and where the board sits! I wish you nothing but the best recovery!
August 4, 2015
Have you contacted Dr. Juris? Shoot him an email let him know what's going on to see what he says. When in doubt, I always contact him.
July 29, 2015
Congratulations you look amazing. Can you please tell me how long you stayed there and which recovery house you stayed
at?
I'm from the uk and I am cosidering going to colombia for the same procedure, but worried about going so far alone and I don't speak Spanish. Do you think this would be a major problem?

Thank you! Well I stayed for 20 days because I had one month of vacation time. And I stayed in the recovery home with Dr.Juris mother in law; my experience was great, I was treated right, ate so good, and I was taken back and forth to the post op massages.
About the English, don't worry, they get non speaking-Spanish patients all the time and they do just fine. Besides, the mother in law's son, lives in the house and works with Dr.Juris and he speaks English. I totally understand you about traveling far alone, but let me tell you it's worth it. While I was there, there were patients from NY, Canada, Florida, you name it. Keep me posted in your decision! Best of luck!

Thank you so much.
I'm thinking of going early next year, hope you don't mind if I contact you closer to the time for tips on what kind of supplies to take with me.
