Lumineers (Smile Design) in Colombia, Cali

I was searching for a good dentist for a while...
WORTH IT$3,000
I was searching for a good dentist for a while within the US and other countries like Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Colombia.
Luckily, I found a very good and detailed review here on RealSelf of a girl (Colombia made) who went to Colombia and had her teeth done and body there with a very good pictures. So, I contacted her and asked all my questions. She was very nice and helpful and gave me a number to whom to contact. So, I contacted Daniela(dentist's assistant), she speaks perfect English, and made an arrangement with her and the dentist and I flew to Colombia together with my husband, who had 9 teeth extracted and put 13 implants. My dentist Dr.Fernando did not do it to him, but other dentists did, with whom Dr Fernando works. The clinic where Dr Fernando works at, it's a nice, big building of around 12 flours and the 9th entire floor is all dentists. Price is like 10 times cheaper than in the US and the time they dedicated to us nobody would in the US ever do. I am in Colombia for 2 weeks now, and had my teeth done, which they call SMILE DESIGN (it's lumineers). I needed 1 crown for my front tooth which I had and needed to change it, and I am waiting for the lab to finish the work and send it to the dentist. By the way, I am going on Saturday to complete the entire work he had done and to have my crown put as well.
I am very happy with the dentist I chose. I saw his before/after pictures and knew he will do a good job. When I came to the office and saw his workers with the teeth he did for them, I had no doubts at all and just wanted it to be done ASAP.
He is a very patient, kind, quit, nice person. I am Very happy with everything. You can also find him at Instagram. He speaks a little English. Maybe he will put you through with Daniela.
We had a nice work done and a good vacation at the same time. People in Colombia are very nice and friendly. Prices are very very good :) 5 star hotel is like $60. Restaurant for 3 people is around $17. And it's a lot of things to do and see here.

The reason I decided to post my review is because I was dreaming to have a beautiful smile for at least 10 years since I am a teenager, but could never afford to pay $40,000 (the US dentists gave me that quote). Now, my dream came true, I can smile, which I forgot to do for years, and I found the dentist I could afford. He is a perfectionist and does not run anywhere just wants to do a perfect job and for you to be happy. I was searching even on this website for a while, but people eather would not answer the questions, or would say one price that they paid, and then when you ask them, another. Not honest at all. I posted my review to help people like me. And I am sure the dentist will not mind to have more work

Wow! Very nice.. I have a crown too bc I trusted a new dentist and I regret it.. I'm not the same person anymore and hate talking to ppl in public now. I wanted to get veneers but thinking about lumaneers.. Do you like them? They don't chip easily right?

I totally understand. Yes, I really love my teeth now, I even think they look better now than right after the lumineers were placed, or maybe I just used to them

Hi dear! No, my lumineers did not chip yet, of course I am trying not to bite hard things like ice and so, but they are fine. The crown he used for me is a circonium crown which is very good one and looks like your own tooth.

Your teeth look amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your results. Was it easy to call and schedule an appointment? How many days would I need to stay in Columbia to have the procedure done? I would only need the lumineers no crown. Could you please send me the whatsapp number you used? Again thank you for sharing, you're awesome!!

Hello. For those of you who are looking into traveling to Colombia to get Veneers, you need to plan for about 8 days. Sometimes we can work with the lab to do it faster but I always recommend not to rush these things. You cannot rush perfection! Also, it will provide you with an opportunity to visit our beautiful country!

Thank you so much. Was not easy at all because I was given a number of a girl who answers the questions and schedules for you. So every time I texted her questions, she would respond in 2-3weeks for only one from 6 of my questions. It was going on for about 6 months till my husband said: I want to have my teeth done and thinking about going to Mexico. He contacted a very advertised dentist in Mexico, sent him his X-rays, then the dentist came back to him with a double price compare to the prices in Columbia and advised to extract all of his teeth. My husband has a good teeth, but he needed 4 implants for his missing teeth. I found it crazy. Then I advice my husband to contact the girl in Colombia, as I found a very good dentist there and she is the only one who you can contact. My husband did not give up, he was calling her, texting all day long, but then with some of the information she gave him we decided to go. If not my husband I would not take that risk. Thanks for him. I would still have that horrible smile now. He told to the girl that we are coming and she scheduled for us an appointment with the dentist. The dentist is the sweetest person and has a lot of patience. With a small knowledge of Spanish my husband was able to norgotiate the price for his implants. He healed good. It will be 6 months in March, so we are going back to place the crowns of the implants and will make him check my teeth for any cavities and cleaning. We live in Miami, so going to Colombia is very convenient for us. The dentist himself said it's much better when people contact him directly, not that girl.

I would say, you will need to stay there about 3 days, maybe even too, but with me he was taking his time. So, you let him know before that you have a plane ticket on certain day then he will hurry up. If you do top and the bottom teeth, he can make them all in 1 day, just be ready to stay in a chair for 10 hours with 1 half an hour break. And then, after this 1st job done, you will have to go back for the polishment of the teeth and making them thinner, in case you think they are too thick (like was in my case). If you want a very white teeth, a Hollywood white then let him know. My teeth are still very nice white. but they don't seem as white to me anymore as for the first week. It's a very natural white color. In the beginning it was so white that it was glowing at night, now it does not do it anymore.

You don't need 8 days if you only have lumineers done. Lumineers is something that you don't need to wait for lab. The dentist puts some kind of paste on your teeth and forms it to your teeth. If you have veneers or crowns done then you will definitely need about 8 days or even more. Your country is very beautiful and the people are very nice. We stayed in Colombia for 2 weeks and had a lot of things to do.

Hi! I just wanted to point out that Lumineers are a specific brand of veneers, and all veneers need to be sent to a lab. I think what you got is composite bonding, or composite veneers. This is as you mention a paste that the dentist molds over your teeth to give them the desired shape and color. Composite bonding can indeed be done in a single day and is much more affordable. The only thing about composite is that it breaks easier so you might need maintenance when it chips!
