Super nervous, traveling to Colombia in December to have my BBL done. This is something I have wanted for so long, that its hard to believe my wish is coming true. I am 5'6, 170lbs . So I've booked my flight and have pretty much everything ready to go. I'm getting hosted by a company called elite. They pretty much take care of everything. I will get picked up by elite and will be staying in there facility for 15 day with 24hr nurse staff attending to my needs after my BBL.

I went in April 2016. Had lipo and a breast lift without implants. I am satisfied with the results. I was taken care of the whole time and did not have to lift a finger (although I really couldn't after surgery). Dr. Maury is a sweetheart and did a good job, specially the breast lift. However, not everything was perfect. I was overweight when I got the procedure done. Basically I had super lipo and wasn't told the exact amount extracted but it was well over 10 litters. The recovery was very difficult. I couldn't get out of bed for the whole time I was there. The nurses did take care of me and are also very sweet. But I can't say I wasn't concerned. The massages were hell but necessary. I retained an excessive amount of fluids. Also Bogota is over sea level and I am sensitive to high altitudes so on top of that I felt out of breath the whole time. By day 14, the doctor was not convinced I was ready to go. She advised me to stay at least a few more days but I couldn't, so she had me sign a paper that they were not going to be held responsible if anything happened to me. I did not liked that at all. Also no follow up once I got back home. Thankfully she did a good job. Those are my 2 cents. Good luck!

I'm doing great now as it's been over a year since surgery. I would say the first 3 -4 months were very difficult. A lot of fatigue and pain. Again this was my case, not necessarily everyone elses. I started to feel better after 3 -4 months, which is more than the average time. Every body is different! You will make friends and will never feel alone during recovery. I wish you the best of luck!

How was your experience? I'm booked for July 31 2017 to travel and same doctor and elite to. I didn't book my flight yet but I'm excited about Colombia and elite.

I am about a month away from my surgery and having second thoughts. I keep reading reviews about how painful the first two day after surgery are and I'm really nervous about the pain. Will it really be worth all the pain afterwards? Since it recommended not to set for 6 weeks, what kind of positions do ppl use to in the mean time?
