I had the procedure yesterday. It was done while I was awake but heavily sedated with versed and stadol in my IV. I also took Valium before the surgery. It didn't hurt, but there was a lot of tugging, pulling, and stitches. It felt like the pain was more in my butt than vagina. It took 1 1/2 hours and it felt like a very long time, my legs were in stirrups and hyper extended and by the end, that bothered me more than anything.
I slept the whole way home. I had to have my son help me upstairs because I was woozy from the meds. Then I slept the rest of the day.
Today is day 2, I felt a lot of pain this morning but I kept icing it and taking pain meds. It is now exactly 24 hours since the procedure and I am feeling better. I'm just laying bed. I did sit sideways on the couch a little bit.

Day 5 after vaginoplasty

Feeling much better. I was very constipated, but finally went. I now have a urinary tract infection from the catheter. I'm going to call and get them to send a prescription. I went in for my post op appointment yesterday, and Dr True said it all looked good, and I am only 1 finger width. I am so happy about that. I am done taking pain meds. And things don't feel very swollen anymore. I can't wait until I can test it out.

I feel much better. Went to the grocery store yesterday. I made sure I didn't pick up anything over 5 lbs. Everything feels swollen down there but I feel pretty good overall.

I didn't take any before pictures. I have kids and I'm always worried they will find it if I take a picture. But the healing is going great. I feel completely normal now at 2 weeks post op. I was pulling weeds out of the garden today. I feel like I am probably 4x tighter than I used to be. I am tighter than I was as a teenager. I'm not sure where you are located, but Dr True in the Dallas area did mine and I feel like he truly knows what he's doing. He explained everything to me, and kept asking me how I was doing during the procedure. He gave me plenty of pain meds to keep me comfortable during and after. He's a very caring doctor and I'm so glad I chose him.
