First GentleLase Treatment

Had my first GentleLase treatment on underarms and brazilian. Since its only my first treatment, I obviously can't rate the hair reduction, but will talk about the pain level. For me, the pain was extremely minimal. I previously would wax both areas and waxing hurt WAY more than the laser. On the underarms, I felt more heat than pain. On the brazilian area, it was sort of like a snap. Underarms are fine 8 hours later, brazilian area feels tender and sort of like a mild sunburn and is red in some areas, but nothing horrible.

The technician said that my hair is pretty fine due to waxing for so long, so that could have alot to do with the minimal pain. I also have a pretty high pain tolerance. One of the technicians that was in there during the treatment training said she cried while getting her brazilian done, so it definitely depends on the person and their hair. According to the techs, 6 treatments per area should be enough to see 'wonderful' results. I'm scheduled 5-6 weeks apart, but that also depends on the person and their hair growth rate. The whole process took less than 30 minutes to complete which was awesome, since they had blocked off an hour.

I will definitely update this as time goes on and more treatments are done. I know that lasers won't get rid of all of the hair forever, but I'm hoping to either be able to wait longer between waxes or be able to successfully manage these areas with an occasional shave.
