Day 15

WORTH IT$4,000
It's been a good ride so far. The first 4-5 days were the most challenging. I now have no pain whatsoever...just some discomfort. I have my 1 week appointment with the doctor and he was very happy with the results. Haven't had any nodules form so far yet either. Just a bit sore like you would be after a good day's workout.
I have been going to the gym for the past 8 days or so and have increase the intensity of the workout and do not feel any discomfort. I have started to see definition improve as well! The day 15 pictures compared to day 2 and pre -op show a world of a difference. I'll keep updating my results but am so excited to see the final result.

How are you liking the results now? I’m shocked you got back to your workouts so quickly and that’s really encouraging to me. Been thinking about getting this same procedure.
I am happy with the results so far. Have my 3 month check up today so looking forward to the 3 month comparison pics.

Laser Lipo is a Winner!

I am a 39 year old male and have been working out for the past 5 years consistently and put on some muscles but along with it I also put on some fat. Over the past year, I have lost close to 20 lbs by incorporating a lot of cardio in my routine and watching what I eat. No matter what I have done so far workouts/coolsclupting /Vanquish...nothing gave me the results I wanted. A few months back a very wise cosmetologist heard what I wanted and told me that the only way I was going to get what I wanted (losing the belly fat and getting defined abs) was through Lipo. It took me a while to understand that she was right. This led me on my journey to getting Laser lipo

My research pointed me towards getting a VASER Lip procedure. I met with 3 different Plastic surgeons with high ratings and reviews on Realself! Shout out to all of you who write reviews. We definitely need more men putting up pictures and reviews so it helps rest of the men researching options.

I landed on going with Dr Jon Ver Halen because of multiple reasons . 1. He had awesome reviews on RS. 2. He was very thorough during our meeting and did not rush through the appointment. He answered every last question of mine and I felt very comfortable. 3. Kristin worked with me on getting me a very competitive package to do my upper, lower abs & flanks 4. He did mention he has Vaser.

I was a bit disappointed during my pre-op visit as I assumed that I would be meeting with the Dr but ended up meeting with the 2 nurses. They were both great and answered all of my questions but I still feel it would have been more beneficial to meet with the Dr as I wanted to get his final thoughts on whether he would be using VASER or Laser Lipo. Ab definition was important to me and all my research said VASER is the way to go. I'm not sure how the pre-op works with other Dr's, but I would recommend meeting with the Dr during the pre-op appt.

Day of procedure - I got to the office and was quickly and efficiently prepped for the procedure and given a cocktail of drugs to ensure I was sedated since I was doing this without going under. Again...here I do wish I would have met with the Dr before the effects of the drugs came on as I remember not feeling very sharp when the Dr came in to do his markings. From what I recall, he was again very kind and answered all my questions... informed me that he would be doing laser lipo. I was just too groggy to ask why he picked Laser Lipo vs. Vaser for ab definition. I would have loved to have had a conversation about his thought process. He marked me up and I could somehow tell him about a couple of areas that I wanted more definition on and how I pictured the results with my abs

The procedure itself was a breeze because I was completely knocked out. I only remember feeling a bit uncomfortable a couple of times and the Doc asking me to turn to the side. Once the procedure was over, I was put into this TIGHT compression garment and sent off. They had given me post op instructions which I have since followed. Before going to be, I opened up the garment to change my dressings as there was a lot of fluid leakage and noticed a flat tummy and ab definition and was super excited! I'm just not sure how much definition I will get with Laser Lipo. If anyone has experience with getting definition with Laser Lipo, please let me know as I am a bit anxious about the end result.

Day 2 - I have been sore over the past couple of days but I would say the soreness is bearable. More than anything else, it is the compression garment that restricts my movement. It feels like you have had the most intense workout of your life and someone has punched you in the gut a few times. Sleeping at nights is a bit of an issue as well since I do sleep on my sides and its tough to do that with the compression garment and the soreness on the flanks from the procedure and the holes. Finally I got a good nights sleep on the 2nd night after talking to Shayna (nurse) who helped me figure out how I should take my drugs. I now take Ibuprofen 800mg during the day and Narco and a sedative at night which helped me sleep better.

The pictures do not show the flat belly I saw the first day due to the swelling. They do however show a much flatter belly!

I did however get a glimpse of what the future holds on the 1st day! (hopefully I wasn't too drugged up and imagining things) Now its time to just be patient and not get frustrated and wait for the swelling to subside. I will keep adding pictures and updating regularly.
