Filler.

I would love some advice on lip fillers. I would like them to be so natural and barely noticeable for the first time to see if I like them slightly fuller. How much should I ask my nurse to apply ?? She's always brilliant in the past although I'm feeling lightly nervous about filler being applied. Thank you.

Your lips have gorgeous shape. I just got mine done and I got very little injected. But I'm going back in a week to use the rest of my syringe to add maybe .15ml in my bottom. I had restalyne, and only .35ml in the top lip and then a little in my bottom (I forget the amount). But he told me that we still had about half a syringe left so he was saving it for 2 weeks in case I wanted more or to put in the area where the nose/mouth line is. I could see the difference, a little goes a long way for people who already have a nice shape of lips. You don't have ultra thin lips so I feel like if you want a very natural look then you should probably mention just a little bit. I didn't show my doctor photos, I just explained "I don't want duck lips. I want the top to be more defined, and the bottom to be slightly bigger" and he said he would do a very natural look and warned me that i might not see the difference after swelling goes down. But I had minimal swelling. I mean it was swollen but not crazy. I was actually glad I didn't get more done because I don't think my face looks good with it. So when the swelling went away in a day (because my doctor was great, I didn't have much of a negative reaction), it looked perfect. I can tell my top lip is more full and defined. And bottom is slightly more pouty. It's a very subtle change. My friends didn't even notice. They just said they looked good but couldn't figure out why until I told them. I put lip stick on without overdrawing my lips like I usually did, and they look exactly how I over draw them (without having to over draw!). so I'm satisfied. I would suggest you ask for less than half a syringe and then wait for your swelling to go down to add more if you want it.

Also, make sure to go to a doctor/surgeon- someone who has a lot of experience. I paid top dollar but don't regret it at all because I felt no pain, got a great injection technique that left NO bruising and very minimal swelling! So I really do believe you get what you pay for, when it comes to who injects. Also avoid working out before hand, and avoid alcohol, vitamin e, and anything else that is a blood thinner :)
