I've been doing a lot of research lately with help of one of my very good girlfriends and have finally decided to get a boob job. I have had numerous open heart surgeries from being born with a congenital heart defect and have always wanted a larger chest. I'm currently a 32 B and would really like to be a high C/low D ... I'm not ashamed of my scar but I believe that it would be beneficial to my self esteem if it were hidden more in my cleavage than it currently is.
I have a zillion pictures and question for my doctor tomorrow at the consultation and am equally nervous and excited!!! I'll post an update tomorrow after the first appointment along with pictures! Stay tuned!!

Congratulations! I'm so interested to hear your story as I too have a large scar on my chest from CHD surgery. I'm very flat now and cannot wait to do something to improve this area! I hope everything went well

Consultation went great!

Went to my consultation this morning and it went great!! The surgery will cost about $5800 to $6100 depending on if I go with Saline or silicone. Obviously saline will be cheaper .... But I have decided SILICONE!! we talked about sizes and such and he thinks that 350-375ccs would look more natural with my body frame. He also gave me another website to check out. Its called lovemylook.com and also has stories from women and specific cases he has done!! With my surgery, its going to be a little extra challenging because of the surgical wire in my sturnum from OHS. He wants to consult with my cardiac team about how the best way to complete it will be. In the mean time, I'm going to keep researching and then schedule my preop appointment!! From there it will take about 2 weeks to get an actual surgery date and perfection!! :) so excited!!!

Does he use general or just sedation for the procedure?
