My Experience: Total FX Fractional C02 Laser Procedure

I had a laser resurfacing procedure 5 months ago and suffered a complication which caused great discomfort. Although the cause of the discomfort has resolved, I am still dealing with a poor aesthetic outcome due to delayed healing.
I have been going to this practice for years and have seen every doctor currently practicing there. While there is no dispute that all of the doctors associated with this practice are top notch and some even world-renowned, aggressive procedures associated with fractional C02 lasers should be considered very seriously.
All that being said, my doctor is taking great care of me as is his wonderful nurse and I have been reassured that V-beam treatments and time will deliver resolution.
Bottom line: No matter how skilled and experienced your doctor is, bad things can and do happen.
Make sure to find a board-certified dermatologist with lots of experience in the specific area and procedure you are contemplating.
Be thoughtful and realistic about what you want to achieve and communicate that to your doctor.
Be prepared for an extended period of healing and know that energy-based cosmetic procedures are serious business.
Best of luck to you!

I am sorry that you experienced complications. It appears more common than I had ever expected as you can see here at this site. I too have had complications. You could private message me if you would like. I am interested in what the complication was and what your provider did and is doing to remedy it and your aesthetic outcome.
