Co2re resurfacing :
WORTH IT$1,500
At 43 I had noticed the texture of my skin was dull and crepey . I had no deep lines to speak of but lots of fine ones. Having researched treatment options I wanted to give the fractionated laser a try. I went to the Dr Darren McKeown clinic in Glasgow because he had a good reputation and was one of the only places that do this treatment in Scotland. After the consultation I decided to go ahead. The treatment was done by Dr Joanne Payne.
I went in to the clinic and had the numbing cream on my face and then waited for that to work. The procedure itself was uncomfortable but bearable. I had quite a high setting. Joanne did deeper peel on cheeks and lighter across the neck area. Her coverage was very even . Drove home with the car air conditioning on full . In hindsight I should have someone drive me. I had one bad night sleep , it was not that painful just felt like my face had a pulse and I was terrified I would roll over, I woke up with my face stuck to the pillow at one point with the Vaseline.
I had taken one week off work it was uncomfortable for 3 days - it became itchy and peeled by the end of day 3. By day 5 I could apply make up and stop the vinegar soak and Vaseline application.
Overall it has improved the tone of my skin and the crepey texture has improved. The neck is still a bit crepey but it has a slight improvement as well. And I had been told it would not solve the problem of the neck skin. My skin feels smoother , fresher and brighter and people have commented on it positively.
Overall rating- I would do it again, it is not cheap but it is the best thing I have found to freshen up the skin. I would go back to Dr Joanne I feel she made a good job and touched up a couple of bits that has small skin growths at a review appointment. The clinic were professional , offering plenty free review appointments, 24hour emergency number of you have any concerns also regularly checking to see that I was pleased with the progress .
