One year update.
Was it worth it - yes.
Should you get it if you are still struggling with acne - probably not.
The minute I came off antibiotics, the perfect result was ruined:(
This year has been a bit of a journey but I am so pleased I can finally say I am pretty much adult acne free without any help from medicine. I have managed to clear it with homeopathy, diet and Gua Sha lymphatic massage which to be honest has been the biggest life changer. As a result, I have a little bit of scarring again and a bit of hyperpigmentation but overall I have still never had skin this good, my confidence has come back and I really feel like I don't need to worry about it anymore. I am now treating it gradually with Retin-A and Own Docs micro-needling machine which is amazing. I'm not sure about deeper lines, but the laser has definitely helped tackle open pores and texture. It will always be an ongoing thing to keep on top of for me, but yes I highly recommend the treatment and the doctor really knew what he was doing technique wise. Shame about the bedside manner at Skin!

Travelling (flying) Update - 5 weeks out
Hey Guys,
I just wanted to do an update for those travelling after having this procedure done. I have been on a boat with AC for the last 12 days and flown either side. Basically, flying and travelling will be terrifying for you. But it's temporary so don't panic! My skin is so sensitive as I posted earlier, but the process of flying takes that to the next level. I literally looked like I had aged 10 years after both flights. Pores were wide open, skin went thick and leathery. Redness, and make up coverage required was insane. There was no amount of moisturiser, water or product that would help. Just wanted to post a pretty brutal update so people know what can happen and not to panic (which I did massively). Just get home, take your make up off, slather in moisturiser and sleep. These photos are 12 hours apart.

4 weeks update
Quite a few of you have been asking for an update so here it is!
I am still red and inflamed so it is really really difficult to tell what is going on. Some days my skin looks great, other days I look rough as hell and if it is in any way irritated my pores swell up and become huge so that can be quite scary to see in before and after pictures as texture was my main reason for having this done.
I am having to take constant photos to reassure myself and in most, I can see a major difference. The problem is that as I am a performer, I am having to wear a huge amount of coverage to compensate for the redness, so in the wrong light I can look horrendous. In great lighting though I am very happy with my results. It really fluctuates so much depending on so many conditions so I really don't think I'm going to know for sure until I am fully healed.
SK:N have been awful with aftercare. They haven't really followed up with me at all and when one nurse was in who checked on me, I sent her some more photos I was worried about over a week ago, nobody ever got back to me.
I have started using Kiehl's Vit C & Hyaluronic along with sudocrem every night along with my moisturiser. Tbh, sudocrem is the magic cream. I can go to bed looking like a really rough tomato and wake up the next morning looking nearly normal. I highly recommend this stuff for anyone doing this. And Nivea basic moisturiser. They are the best! Unless it's Vit C, don't waste your money!!
Will update again at 2 and 3 months.
