I have wanted to do Laser resurfacing for a long time to even out my skin tone - remove fine lines and tighten the skin on my neck. etc. I read all about this on RealSelf and see that it is pretty painful. My doctor suggested nerve blocking but I am a bit nervous about that too. I do plan to go through for results. Scared.

Do it and you will be so happy with the final results. I had CO2 laser one year ago and I am thrilled about the results. I did have a lot of redness and at times still have, specially after a shower or a workout. This treatment really evened out my skin. I can go without makeup and my skin looks great. Just be prepared for quite some downtime, take it very easy the first two weeks. Good luck and keep us posted

Hi Debra! I am also having C02 Full Face and Erbium on July 1st. I will have a moderate sedation anesthesia, probably similar to twilight. I think we are close in age and would love to see how things go for you. I have a feeling it will be uncomfortable for a little while but worth it. Best of luck :)

It was Fractional CO2 only. I also know that he was changing settings a few times during the procedure if that helps.

I have turned the corner on my nervousness and can't wait to get 2- 3 weeks out from the procedure.

Since I go on July 1st it should give me enough time to heal before the 3 Mommy Makeover consults that I have scheduled for July 20th. I bought a Go Pro and will do some video to post here as well.

Hey Debra, I just want you to be prepared for more downtime for your neck. I only did my face, but heard from several people that the neck area takes longer to heal. I wish you courage and do not look in the mirror too much the first few weeks. You will love the results.

I'm 7 weeks post procedur. The procedure can be painful at times but I'm not sure a nerve block is necessary. The recovery is uncomfortable but not painful. I am thrilled with my results and it continues to improve every week. Do expect rednes to last quite a while in any areas where the doctor is more aggressive (to get better results.)

I had Co2 just around my eyes and it healed pretty fast (one week) but it takes a few months for the skin to totally renew and be as flexible so it takes some patience. But it does NOT hurt really and i did without numbing cream! Day 4 was when things got a lot better and by day 6 I could put make up on and was only a bit red. The C02 is THE MOST results laser u can do so basically if u want amazing results short of a lift this is the big cahuna. But as they say "do it well or not at all" and you will be SO happy that you are revving up your skin to be its more youthful complexion. That's what's so cool about skin-it really can grow back BETTER! You should not be worried at all.

So I have a driver , my meds and am ready for the CO2. I am confident in my surgeon and will be getting some of the photos that he has taken of the before to post.

Since I am getting the neck and chest done too I need to figure out what type of clothes to wear. Excited!!
