CO2 Laser Treatment

I chose Dr. Kiripolsky’s office based on positive online reviews and was told the $150 consultation fee would be applied toward my treatment—something that influenced my decision to schedule an appointment. Dr. Kiripolsky was warm and confident in the treatment plan she proposed, which included CO2 laser therapy for enlarged pores. However, before moving forward, I was instructed to purchase a set of prep products directly from the office.
Surprisingly, I wasn’t given an itemized receipt at the time of purchase and had to request one via email. When it arrived, I noticed the $150 consultation fee was listed as a “new patient remaining balance,” rather than being applied to my treatment as previously stated. I was also shocked to see a $200 charge for Tretinoin 0.1%—a product that typically costs $60–$80, or less than $10 with insurance. I shared my concerns with Dr. Kiripolsky, but she had little to say in response.
Still, with limited vacation days and time being valuable, I decided to proceed. Dr. Kiripolsky later recommended adding CO2 laser treatment around the eyes, which I agreed to. Over the course of 10 months, I completed two rounds of CO2 laser on both my nose and eyes.
The first eye treatment was so painful I teared up during the procedure. Strangely, the second round was almost painless—making me question whether something had been missed the first time. After spending nearly $7,000 on treatments and products and seeing only mediocre results, I cannot recommend this office.
My experience raised concerns about transparency, pricing practices, and consistency in care. I expected a more honest and patient-focused approach.
