I’m a 40 yo redhead. I wanted to correct dark circles, sunspots, redness, minor acne scars on chin and slightly hooded eyes. Numbing cream for 1 hr and 6 lidocaine injections. Feels like a strong sunburn, which is nothing new for me. Dr. Baker at Luxe Laser in Maumee, Ohio was fantastic! I can’t wait to see my results over the next several months.

I am 70 years old and want that relaxed look back. I don’t want 100 stitches for a facelift. I am trying the CO2 laser in three weeks. Am nervous but i am anxious to get this done. Afraid of being red for several months. My skin is fairly good. I have had Botox and fillers in the past. Is their something out their to calm the redness or is there a cover up I can use? I will b asleep during this process which should take 30 minutes..

I updated my review to add a few healing products. There’s a picture of me with makeup on day 5 and also one without, so yo can see the coverage. I know Jane Iredale products are recommended but I used “Makeup Forever Ultra HD” liquid foundation from Sephora and “Physicians Formula Talc -free Mineral Wear” Powder over that. I hope that helps. Feel free to ask me anything else that may calm your fears. Best wishes!

You look great. I'm honking about doing the Madonna eyes with Dr. Banker. I was wondering if you had any negative side effects or more treatments after this post? Thanks!

How are you feeling about the redness and overall healing at this point? Any areas or spots that seem to not be healing? I think that’s my greatest concern about this procedure, is any long term discolouration or scarring. Your treatment looks like it went beautifully.

Thank you! I was expecting more redness than this for at least several weeks. I look a little sunburnt without makeup, but I have no track marks or hyperpigmentation whatsoever. Everything is coverable with makeup. I have a few dry patches around my mouth that are still resolving, but they’re not embarrassing or unsightly. I am very happy with my results and they are only the beginning. My dark spots and dark freckles have blended into my skintone, my dark circles are already much lighter, my skin is tighter and more even. I can still see my acne scars, but with this much progress already I am confident those will fade and my results will continue to improve as collagen production increases.

That is amazing!! Sounds like you are healing wonderfully. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Do you know how many passes or how deep the settings were for your treatment?
September 6, 2018
No problem. I think single passes except around the mouth and eyes. I didn’t ask what setting but he made it clear that he doesn’t prefer to tiptoe with this treatment, giving clients results without going overboard and risking damage. I’d say he hit the nail on the head and found the middle ground between provoking the best healing response possible without true harm. He has hundreds of these procedures to his credit, so I felt very comfortable with his recommendations and his approach after I made clear what I specifically wished to improve about my skin.

How has your healing progressed? Has the redness completely healed?
September 15, 2018
Yes! All redness is gone :)

Any additional thoughts 2 month out? Do you think your skin is still changing? You look fantastic!

Oddly, pain really wasn’t an issue for me. I never had to take the Tylenol with codeine. Whenever my face itched, I made sure there was enough Vasoline on there to rub with medium pressure with my fingertips, (not fingernails)! If that didn’t work, I’d use the vinegar/water/ice solution to soak a clean washcloth in and after squeezing it out, applying it with pressure to my face for 10 seconds and referring/repeating until the itchiness stopped. Here are more pics of my progress. My swelling is 90% gone. Mild itchiness/tightness/redness still which some faint raw patches. I actually wore makeup yesterday. And it covered everything. I added a few things to my recover regimen. Arnicare Cream for swelling and bruising and Egyptian Magic, am all natural skin cream that feels like vasoline but less greasy and gross. I’d use the vasoline for the 1st 3 days as recommended, but this is great after that.

You look sooo young! I would have never guessed you were 40! Have you had any other procedures to help you? You haven't aged at all since you were 25!!!!

Thanks! I occasionally get Botox in my 11’s, but didn’t have any for a long time before these pictures. No other facial procedures.

How long did it take for you to recover if you do not mind sharing.
