So I Had some excess sagging (crepe)skin under my eyes making it hard to wear makeup.
So I went to Dr Woodman, whom I've had other small cosmetic procedures done with, and this is the treatment we decided for my age. I have always had problems around my eyes with bags Etc. Will most likely have my upper eyelids done someday but for now this was a great start to refresh my under eye area. This recovery will most likely keep you home for around 11-14 days so I recommend getting the time off from work to heal! I did wear a little makeup around day 11. But I'm sure it varies between people. Recovery was as expected and although pretty ugly, it wasn't bad after the first day or two.
He also did some treatment done on my smile lines making it slight more expensive. (Nasal labial)

Wow, looks incredible. Do they use local anesthetic? How much pain?

What make of CO2 laser was it? Did you notice loss of volume cheek area?

I had full facial C02 laser in 2000 when I was 33 years old. I played soccer for 20 years 300 days/year in the hot California sun. The laser blew off every brown spot and wrinkle off and my whole face was SUPER tight. It took 20 years off my face. The laser goes 10 layers deep. To this day, people comment on how gorgeous my skin is and how young I look. I have no more melasma or any brown spots. Previously I had a very bad case of melasma. It was one month of down time and because I am prone to red in my face, I was red for about a year. It was a painful recovery and I did see an esthetician who used Vit C packs and that helped a LOT. After this procedure you could have discoloration so you HAVE to wear sunscreen for life. I'd also recommend keeping your face and neck out of the sun for the rest of your life. Most doctors do NOT do small areas because of the potential for discoloration. They really only do the whole face. Also, make sure you do it in the winter because my girlfriend did it in the summer and wore a hat on Lake Tahoe in her boat and the reflection off the water gave her discoloration. Also, they cannot laser your neck so your face and your neck might be 2 different colors if you are prone to discoloration. Over the years I have used 4% hydroquinone to blend my neck me face color. If you have beautiful even-toned skin or perfect milky-white skin...you might not be happy w the C02 laser because of the potential for discoloration. It was the best choice for me because I went in to try to correct the horrific melasma on my face. The tightening of my skin and the loss of wrinkles was a massive bonus. Lastly, C02 laser is a serious procedure and you are under full anesthesia when you do a full facial C02. I believe you are only able to do 1 or 2 in your lifetime because I think if you do too many your skin will look paper-thin. I think here are now other forms of laser with less down time and aren't as harsh but a full facial C02 with full anesthesia goes very very deep and therefore has extremely great results.

For example, I think "Total FX" is not as harsh as C02 but can give fabulous results w lot less down time. For the person who asked if there was loss of volume on the cheeks, I'd say absolutely no loss. C02 laser builds up massive amounts of collagen in your face.
