CO2 Laser: Not worth the stress, time or money
UPDATED FROM Pioneering8829
Co2 6 months post review
So my previous review was a disappointing one and although my results still are not greatly visible in terms of scar reduction but my skin feels smooothet and clearer but thus could be due to skin care and Retin-A What do u think compared to my last post?
ORIGINAL POST
Co2 Laser
I have put a review with disappointing results after 8 weeks I’m now 3months after treatment
Been left with pigmentation which I’m now treating with Obaji Nu Derm
No difference in my skin complexion or acne scarring My doc is convinced there is a difference but he would say that. I have to see him 6months post procedure but if there is no real improvement in 3months I doubt there will be an improvement in another 3months
Not worth the stress, time or money
Wish i hadn’t done it as now I have to get rid of another problem my pigmentation
Would love your opinions as If I ask friends they won’t be honest to not hurt my feelings

Many physicians will not treat people with with darker skin using lasers of any kind but especially not the CO2 laser. What they are worried about is a higher risk of keloids and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation ( skin darkening after treatment ).
We have very similar skin tones and skin texture. I went through the same procedure and I see absolutely no difference in my complexion aside from it being worse. My doctor also assured me my skin looks great but I am not seeing it.
Has your doctor prescribed you any sort of retinoid? I was told it would make a difference in recovery but I am unsure. I have been told it gets worse before it gets better but we cannot really afford to have our skin look bad for so long.
I hope things improve down the line....

I'm so sorry you had a bad experience. I wish I would have taken before and after's of mine but I had a pretty good experience. I did it for fine lines and wrinkles but noticed it really didn't touch the brown spots. I took care of those myself with one of those crazy zapper tools...lol. But my skin is different from yours. But in all honesty I would not be happy with your result from your photos. Did you take a before photo?
What’s the crazy zapper thing?
What’s the crazy zapper tool?
SPOT ERASER PRO: MOLE AND TAG REMOVER Freckle
Can be found on Ebay. It basically burns them off, zaps them. It's not for the faint of heart and you will have scabs on the bigger ones but it works.

Thanks, I saw quite a few all different prices on Amazon, so I picked one and ordered it. Again, thanks for the info. ❤️
I can see a difference from first to last picture of your left cheek, which is what I’d have expected with a co2 laser and with your skin type. I’d leave it another few months and review then any post acne marks look at a skin booster like Restylane vital, I’ve had good results with this on post acne scaring x

It's a process and takes time.
