Post procedure
So the day after my procedure(day 1) on a scale of 1-10 my redness was a 3 and the “sandpaper texture” was a 3. Swelling was an 8, I could barely see any of my scars. I’m at a point in my journey now though that I don’t let the swelling fool me.
Day 2 - redness increased to a 4 or 5 same with the texture of the dead skin. I kept applying peptide moisturizing serum and my skin was sucking it right up. I did about 4 vinegar/water soaks for 10-15 min each and applied my peptide serum and micro silver cream after. Swelling went down a bit
Day 3 today- my skin is very dry, I am constantly applying serum and I’m also now using my elta md post laser recovery gel. I’m VeRY red now and you can see the lines from the fractional laser especially on my forehead and lower cheeks. Obviously way too soon to tell what my progress is. All that I know is I’m doing every thing I can to keep my skin moisturized around the clock.
Some little side note I had to sleep on my back the first two nights which was very uncomfortable.
I was told that I’m going to need hey series of treatments all different kinds to treat my different types of scarring. The Purpose of this procedure was to make the boxcar scoring blend in more. I may need another CO2 treatment three months from now but I’m going to see my doctor in six weeks to reassess. If I do not need another CO2 I will be starting the RF infiniti microneedling. After that we will be looking into TCA cross to treat the ice pick scarring

Co2 Ablative Fractional Laser
Attached are some photos from my ablative co2 fractional treatment. I have a variety of ice pick and boxcar scarring with some tethering. I’ve done 6 microneedling(skin pen) and 6 neolaser treatments to date. Yesterday was my first fractional laser treatment. I feel like I have a sunburn. Last night I sat with a vinegar: water soaked washcloth on my face a few hours after my procedure. It did sting a bit.
