Day 1 post surgery

Thursday 26th April
After 4 hours in surgery I returned to my hospital room.
The surgeon (ishan basaran) visited to tell me everything went great.
The nurses have been great keeping my pain relief topped up.
I was fitted with drains which I monitored closely. My left one seemed to fill very quickly where the right stayed at about 25cc. Throughout the night following the op my left drain was filled and emptied 5 times. I asked if this was normal and was reassured it was. I knew it wasn’t.
Friday 27th April
Dr Basaran came to do my checks and shouted at the nurses. He was not happy at all and my host explained that they should have called him about my bleeding.
He was fantastic explained he wanted to keep me under observation and that I may need to
Go back under.
Throughout the day the swelling to my left got worse, swelling past my clavical.
I was taken down for surgery at 4.30pm - I was very emotional at this point but the staff and Dr Basaran were absolutely wonderful and kind.
I woke from Surgery 3 hours later- again very emotional but the anaesthetist stayed with me reassuring me.
I had lost a lot of blood so had to have 2 blood transfusions late last night.
Saturday 28th April
I have woken today feeling a million times better and only a little sore.

Sorry to read about your complications. However glad things are better and you are on the mend. Do you mind sharing what type/size implants you got? Any other details you have to share would be interesting to know. Wishing you a smooth healing from this point on… :-)

Hi again, thanks for the details. Also to share a couple tips with you: if you respond to someone’s comment using the “reply” link directly below their comment they will receive a notification that you responded to their comment. Also you can edit the title of your review to add extra details (i.e. implant size, lift type, and other specs) if you want. I think having more details in the title may help to draw more traffic into your review especially from others considering the same size implants... or with the same specs. You’ll find the edit link on the right side of your review title. Talk later. :-)
