So I did it! Had the op on Thursday morning and was back home by 5pm the same day. I’m still quite sore and it’s day 2 so I guess it is to be expected. Cannot wait to heal now. I can’t believe I’ve done it.
Mr Van Niekerk was great, really approachable and friendly. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work and I had so much confidence in him. He’s wonderful. I will update more when I’ve had some rest. I’m still shattered!

Congrats on your surgery! From what I can see it looks like you will have a very nice result. Now it’s just to take it easy and heal. When you have a chance to respond I’m curious to know what size/type implants you got? Was your implant placement under or over your pectoral muscles? Please excuse if I’ve missed this info in prior posts. Any other details you have to share would be interesting to know not just for me but also for others here. Wishing you a smooth healing…. :-)

I have had Nagor textured round high profile Implants placed partially under the muscle. They are 360cc. I have hardly any pain from the surgery itself in all honesty and most of my pain is from my throat from the breathing tube and my bottom from sleeping upright. The breasts are quite tight and I’m feeling very bloated from the anaesthestic and pain relief meds. I’ve continued with the pain relief just in case but believe that I can stop them tomorrow. Mr Van Niekerk did a good job from what I can see so far- I am really impressed with his work

Sorry to hear about your throat pain. But glad to hear you did not experience much pain from the surgery. I hardly had any pain either. The primary reason for taking my pain meds and muscle relaxers prescribed was just to get sleep on my back every night. Lol. I’ve never been a back sleeper. I found it helpful to put a pillow under each arm for stability and an ice pack on my lower back. There were times that my tailbone felt like it was on fire. I look forward to following your progress… :-)
