Research Your Clinic... Don't Get Stuck in a Situation Like Me - Toronto, ON

Online reviews are a fact of life today, and they can be helpful in learning about a surgeon, I wish I read more when making my choice. I'd like to share with you my experience with Dr. Quinton Chivers who completed my tummy tuck February 10th, 2016. This was a surgical procedure I have waited a few years for, my pregnancies left me with a lot of sagging skin in the abdominal area. The incision is clean and the belly button was formed and positioned nicely, however, I have been left with a dog ear on my left side, a raised lump on the incision itself and much more could have been taken off the flanks, they look horrible. This procedure was done at clinic 360 in Toronto, whom I have had a difficult time even getting medical records from and they still have not sent them to me for review, which raises red flags for me. Dr. Quinton Chivers has since left clinic 360 very abruptly to open his own clinic Canadian Surgery. With that said, as a patient who has paid for my procedure and left in the middle of this dysfunction between the clinic 360 and Dr Chivers, neither will treat the area to get my results that I have paid for, also note, since having this surgery I have only seen the doctor once who assessed the area since surgery. I feel like I was not a cared for and respected as a patient and this was a cash grab to get my money and be left with a result that was far from my expectations.
Dr Quinton Chivers personal nurse Melissa has been contacted multiple times and told about what my concerns are, each time I speak of Melissa she is very unprofessional, not empathetic and even told me ..why should Dr. Quinton Chivers correct this when it’s coming out of his pocket. This is not how any patient / client should be treated.
My best advice is to try to find an experienced, dedicated surgeon and work with them to achieve your goals, make sure this person is well known in the field and it’s a reputable clinic that has a prior history with successful results.
I will now be searching for a reputable surgeon to correct this for me.
Best of luck to everyone who is getting a tummy tuck.

Dear Leah making dreams come true, I just wanted to let you know I am so sorry to hear about your frustration and post op concerns. Please do not hesitate to call me personally over the weekend or early next week and I will see you at a time of your choosing should you wish for me to smoothen our your scar or address any of your other concerns. Of course there would be no cost to you for any revision work required and I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion surrounding your care. As I am now the acting chief of plastic surgery at Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital I have moved my office there and will no longer be performing surgeries at Clinic 360. That being said I truly just want you to be happy with your procedure and for you to know that you can contact me anytime into the future with this or any additional concerns. Warmest Regards, Dr Chivers.

Looks similar to mine. I had tt in January and a lot of swelling. I had done mine in prague ! (I'm from the UK) by 5 months some swelling down but had to go prague as I was very unsatisfied. My ps told me it was fat sitting on top of the incision which was removed. It is fine now. Hun I really suggest you do not let your ps get away with it. Demand some sort of refund and look for another ps in fact get quite a few second opinions. Get it sorted hun or it will only get you down like it did me. Keep us updated xx

Clinic 360 to the rescue

Since yesterday Clinic 360 has offered to remove the dog tag for me with a different surgeon, and they will cover the costs and intend to do so very soon . I am so appreciated and this showas a clinic that does value their patients even on paper I am still a patient of Dr. Chivers, so happy I don't have to deal with the unprofessionalism and rudeness of Melissa his nurse and thenjoy complications to have this removed.

I too am going through the same thing with my breasts. I researched for a long time and thought I had found the right dr for my mommy makeover, clearly wrong now they want to charge me again. I got capsular contracture which I know isn't the dr fault but he said it would be covered by my insurance but office wants $2000.00 up front. My insurance told me no out of pocket for this procedure. My Drs license is being revoked as of Friday and my insurance approval hasn't gone through yet. I don't feel like he did the lipo on all parts I paid for, due to that fact there was no pain or bruising and looks like all cellulite there and I've never had it before. My after care wasn't as I thought either. I'm left with one breast so much larger than other it's so embarrassing and the capsular. When I sit I have a roll just as before my surgery. I want to cry everyday. I spent $15,000 and my results are awful. I wasn't that big before surgery to have results like this. I have no more resources to pay another dr. I'm so sad, I've wanted this done for over 20 years and this was my result. I hope you get fixed the way you should, all the luck to you.
