I have been seeing Dr. Papay at the Cleveland clinic for some time now. I kept wanting a mini lower lift. He always said, no you don't need it yet. Finally this year, he told me about a new technique that I was the perfect candidate for - not much slack skin, no down time, and fairly low cost.
I agree and two weeks later had the procedure performed in his office by a nurse practioner. Yes, it hurt like hell, with no numbing cream. The procedure was done from just below my eyes to my sternum.
I went to work the next day, with just a bit of a headache.
I waited and waited,I waited six months for results. All that I found was a complete disappaerance of the nasolabial folds. Which previously, I had juvaderm injections for.
I went back to Dr. Papay, he immediately offered to do it again for free - he wanted me to be happy. However instead, I said, "lets take it to the studs" - meaning no more minor procedures. So next week I am going in for a lower mini face lift, and joining of the platysmal bands of my neck. Stay tuned, and I will post pictures. I am afraid, I don't have any before and after from the ulthera. :(

Dr. Papay is the head of Plastics at the Cleveland Clinic. I feel fortunate to be his patient. He instills a sense of calm and reason when I speak to him, and he is very conservative. I have complete trust, that when he does surgery on my, I won't look like I had "work done". Previously he has performed both upper and lower blephs, and rhinoplasty.

Good luck. I shall be waiting to hear all about it! What does he do in a lower mini facelift? Where does the scar go, is it in front of the ear and behind? What research have you done? Do take before and after pics. All the best.

It involves the cutting and rejoing the platysmal muscles in the neck thorugh a small incision under the chin. Another incision will be made in front to under the earlobe and then behind the earlobe. The goal will be to have a tighter neck, no "squinchy" as I call it and improvement of jowls that are just barely beginning, along with no more marionette lines

I noticed that you had a rhinoplasty by Dr. Papay. I just scheduled a rhinoplasty consult with him. How did your's turn out? Are you satisfied? I'm assuming you are since you went back to him again, but would like to hear about your experience. How long was your recovery time? (meaning, how long did you not want to show your face around people...lol)

Hi. Have you had your mini face lift done?

Hi Eva, Well, funny you should ask, I am recovering now from MAJOR surgery with Dr. Guyuron. I have had migraine headaches for years. I lose ~ 65 days per year from them. So long story, I found Dr. Guyuron (plastic surgeon) who specializes in, well pioneered this technique. I talked to him about the lower lift and thought since I was under I'd do ita ll at once. I can say, in six days - no migraines, but lots of puffiness and swelling from other suregeries. Did you have the rhinoplasty?

Which migraine surgery trigger points did he work on? - glabella? temples?, occipital (back of head)? Did he work on your eyelids and do a forehead lift or just access the trigger points through one or both of these areas? How are you doing now? Are the migraines still gone? Did the mini lower face lift work?
