WORTH IT
1st: Lets get this out of the way...
1) Dr. LU-JEAN FENG: I have NOTHING BAD to SAY abt her, she is HIGHLY SKILLED, cutting edge, techniques, she...really is A GENIUS... and very EXPENSIVE.
2) LJF's BEDSIDE MANNER: Is she super warm and fuzzy? No, but she smiles, is nice, spends a TON of time talking w you at every appointment and was very comforting in surgery room...from what I remember (10, 9, 8, 7....over and out). Is LINDA warm and fuzzy? Nope, not at all but she is efficient and cordial.
THE REST OF THE STAFF? they are simply AMAZING! Jenna, Dori, Karla and the girl who takes your blood - I cant remember her name "Bri?", I just call her the bloodsucker and she laughs. I'm pretty sensitive when I walk into a room, and can usually pick up on a lot of things. Mgmt runs a VERY tight ship, everything in its place. Not sure what it is but there doesn't seem to be a lot of fun happening there. Not fun like when you are at the register getting groceries and the clerk and bag person are loud, laughing, and talking w/o ever acknowledging your presence but just a simple office fun. I would suggest that management try to give genuine, positive, warm fuzzies, develop employee appreciation skills, give fun weekly awards, gift cards, etc. say thank you bc without this staff....where would you be?
OFFICE/SURGICAL FLOOR: Everything is done onsite. You dont have to go to another hospital/surgery center where you may run into your neighbor getting his skin tags taken off. The surgery is done ONSITE at Dr. Feng's own high quality, self contained, sparkling clean, real-legit-surgery room. The chances of you getting any type of infection are way higher at a regular hospital than in Dr. Feng's. Trust me, if there was one itty-bitty germ in that place, LJF would probably get some sort of a triple-pass-through-double-blowtorch-OCD-sanitation-process and beat the hell out of that germ. Dr. LJF is a perfectionist in EVERYTHING she does and THAT is a positive quality that you want in you plastic surgeon.
NOTE: they do not have a separate celebrity VIP secret door to whisk you away. Not for the appointments and not for the surgery day either.
EXPLANT AND LIFT: I highly recommend the LIFT. If you dont have the money...get it. If you read posts from explant patients who are unhappy w LJF results, I would ask them 2 questions: How big did they go with their implants and Did they get the lift with the explant? I'm already getting too wordy...just trust me...get the lift.
FAT TRANSFER: I waited a year to get the FT bc I wanted things to kind of fall into place and I wanted to get used to me have ZERO boobs, that way, whatever the result was w the FT...I would be happy. I am 5'2, 110 lbs and small boned. Dr. LJF said I didnt have a lot of fat but I had plenty enough to fill these things up (although I thought my muffin top could feed a small army). Dr. LJF is very careful (and she should be bc every BODY is different), she will never tell you how much fat she is going to take out OR how much you will retain. So, I told her to get as much fat as she could and to FILL THEM UP AS MUCH AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE (I should have gone into more detail abt what "I" considered as much as possible) . Perhaps bring in a C cup bra and tell her you want to fill that baby up... post-op. BUT like I said I didnt have much fat to take out. I think one side she put in (250-299ccs in one boob) and the other was like (300 - 320).
POST FAT TRANSFER: So at first I was REALLY HAPPY but manage your expectations...thats just swelling. Post op I was full B...after 3 months I lost a lot and after 6 months I lost more even more. I would say, I lost more than 50-60%... BUT...listen to me..IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT because MY body managed to to save some and for me...I am bigger and shaped much better than I was before I had the implants (I was like a baby A cup). Currently, I am an A+ cup.
WHAT WOULD I DO DIFFERENTLY? Nothing, I wouldnt choose anyone else but Dr. Feng, I would get the EXPLANT with the MUSCLE REPAIR and the LIFT and a year later get the FAT TRANSFER.
Okay, maybe I might have tried to gain about 10 lbs. and keep it on for a year, so it turns into the nasty, thick, old fat that works the best so she could have taken out more fat and I would have maybe retained more.
I have never seen photos on Real Self of Fat Transfers that are one year post op. ASK for them.
