About a month ago, I had my free coolsculpting consultation. They said I was a good candidate because I was within 20 pounds of my ideal weight and I eat healthy and exercise. We decided to do my lower abdominal area, and 2 upper abdominal areas, almost forming a triangle. I also decided I wanted my flanks done.
I am currently getting a treatment done on my lower abdominal area, they use the coolsculpting max because it's bigger, best for lower abdominals, it will be on for 45 minutes. The suction wasn't bad at all. At first it was pretty cold but after awhile you go numb and it's tolerable. I had the nurse turn the lights off and I'm just relaxing listening to music.

I haven't had my flanks yet, I had my upper and lower abdominal done. Just the lower is slightly numb, I can only tell if I poke my stomach. It doesn't bother me at all. They say all the side effects should wear off in 2 weeks.

So the experience getting coolsculpting done was a love/hate kinda thing. When the applicators were on, it was cold for about 10 minutes than numb the rest of the time. (The smaller applicators only have to be on for 35 minutes.) As soon as the applicators were removed, I experienced pretty severe burning in that area. The massage was literally the worst part, I felt like crying it hurt so bad. The massage only lasts 2 minutes but feels like forever. I felt a little sick to my stomach after each massage. The pain subsides maybe 5 minutes afterwards. I decided to not get my flanks done because I couldn't handle the massage anymore. I made an appointment in a few weeks to get those done.
So now day 1 after. My abdomen is sore, tight, tender. They gave me a binder to wear which helps with the discomfort. I am taking extra strength Tylenol when needed. My abdomen is pretty swollen as of right now. I'm a registered nurse and just worked an 8 hour shift, so the pain isn't unbearable, just uncomfortable.

where did you go for your procedure? I also had my thighs and lower abs done yesterday, in beachwood ohio (beachwood plastic surgery). I found the thighs to be completely painless. The abs were a little uncomfortable for 5-10 minutes, then totally fine. The ab massage was again, uncomfortable, but tolerable. I wore compression yesterday and woke up with sore lymph nodes today? odd, but otherwise, the coolsculpting sites just feel like the day after a good workout. i am surprised how normal everything feels - it worries me that i may not see results!

It's as if you were describing my day yesterday. How are you doing now? Results? And yes I had my flanks done same day as my stomach and the back massages are horrible too.

So it's been one week. So far so good. I did not experience that nerve pain that some people do. The area was very numb and tender the first few days, I wore a binder and it helped. As of today, there in no pain at all, and I would say the numbness has gone away. Today was my first day back at the gym and I had no problem working out my abdominal area. I don't see any results as of right now. My waist is currently 80cm and my hips are 93cm.
