Major surgery, is it worth the risks? I would...

Major surgery, is it worth the risks? I would love to wear normal clothes but perhaps I waited too long? Also, since I gain weight in my bust, what will happen in the future if I gain weight again (like no exercise for 4 weeks post-op.) Part of this is cosmetic, but I have also read that women who carry weight in their bust are at higher risk of diabetes. I hope this would also be a health benefit so I can continue my very active lifestyle.

Yes it is so worth it I am almost 5 months post op and will be 50 next month. STOP suffering. Yes it is regarded as major surgery and that scared the living daylights out of me. I had my first consultations on 25th Sept and my op on 12th Nov so everything happened so fast that I really did not get any time to worry and I am so glad because there is nothing to worry about. I was so scared before imagining the worst but when it was over and I mean day 1 post op I kicked myself for wasting so much time. For women with big breasts physical activity starts post op. I do not regard this op as cosmetic. There are so many medical reasons to have this op the visual is just a bonus. I would never force anyone to have this op but if you are undecided because of fear then I will give you my opinion, the rest is up to you. You are on a forum where almost everyone has had the op , the rest are waiting for a date, we can't all be wrong. As for gaining weight I gain it first in my breasts and never lose it. I wish you all the best with your decision

Go for it! I was nearly 66 when I had my BR. As everyone else says 'best decision ever'. It will give you a new lease on life as it did for me.
