35 Years Old Breast Reduction Size D to Size B - Cleveland, OH
ORIGINAL POST
I was a late bloomer and my boobs didn't develop...
WORTH IT$5,600
I was a late bloomer and my boobs didn't develop until I was about 18yo. I had always played sports and had never been comfortable with them when they did develop. It seemed like I jumped from a B to a D overnight. With my breast being reasonably large, but not hindering, I didn't think I was a candidate for a breast reduction until a friend had mentioned she wanted to get one. Her breasts, like mine, weren't extremely large. That conversation planted the seed. When I was 30 I started thinking about it more. I did research, looked at pictures and started wearing a compression top to see how I would feel.
I went in for a consultation with Dr. Kaufman, which was very reassuring. It took me a couple years to make the final decision. After all, this was major surgery. Being somewhat younger and in good shape, I decided the benefits outweighed the risks.
Since, I was a D, they would not be removing the minimum amount of cc's, so insurance would not cover the procedure. I applied for CareCredit. I am currently making very reasonable monthly payments (equal to a very low car payment), but will have the entire surgery paid off in 3 years. Having the surgery was definitely a great decision. I am very happy with my current size. I feel more confident and comfortable with myself.
It took a month after the procedure to start feeling normal again. I was up and around within a week after the surgery, but my body was still healing so I felt very sluggish. 2 months after the surgery I felt great. I started doing no-impact workouts (spin and strength-training) at about the 1.5 month marker. Now being 3 months out I feel better than ever. The only con is the scarring. Since I am so small I have very large anchor scars. They are still red, but that should fade with time. I was instructed to massage the scars to help break down the hard tissue, which has helped. The scars can easily be covered up by my bathing suit.
I hope this was helpful! Best of luck to you! I will try to add pictures when I get a chance.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I have been feeling... I don't know... Not worthy I suppose, only being a D and wanting a reduction when there's girls out there way beyond my size. But my pain is real none the less so I'm pushing on with my decision... Waiting for November when my surgery is scheduled.

Thank you for sharing your journey with the community. Continue to massage the scars 2 times a day using either the bio oil or Palmer's oil. You will notice a big difference in a few weeks. This will help flatten and fade the scars.
