Week 46 - Tray 6
WORTH IT$7,935
Hi all...
Wow it has literally been 40 weeks since I posted anything about my Invisalign journey!
Things are going so well. I have been seeing my Orthodontist now every 10weeks and am now changing my aligners every 6days.
I have posted 2 pics taken last week on what I'm actually looking like. The results so far have been phenomenal!
Still having pain for the first day after a new set are put in. Yesterday after work I was driving home and literally had to pull over and rip them out of my mouth as I was just in so much pain lol. Took a big mouthful of water and the relief was instant...not too many days like that though.
Hope you're all doing well and can't wait to get in here and read all your updates xx

Week 6 - Tray 6
Hi everyone!! It's been a while since I updated. Tonight I put in Tray 6!! Nice to feel a snug fit again as after 7 days my trays feel a lot less snug. Tray 5 went pretty smoothly with all my attachments in place. I must admit though that my inner left cheek is red raw from constantly biting it whilst eating. Puts me off meal times. But it just means that my jaw alignment is moving and hopefully will correct itself as I progress on. I found I actually love having my Trays in. Feels foreign having them out and I'm rushing to get them back in quickly after eating etc. Probably because I find the attachments and buttons annoying.
I don't have much to report on apart from my teeth have gained a lot more space between each teeth which I really notice when flossing.
Until next time....?

Thanks for the update. Have you noticed any movement yet?
Hi.. love your post.keep posting.. im thinking of doing invisalign... thanks you help out
I also noticed the spacing between the teeth - think its because they're making room for the appropriate teeth to move forward/back and straighten up! The one thing I can caution regarding this is that - THEY ACT AS TRAPS FOR LITTLE BITS OF FOOD! So beware of spinach and herbs and anything that could get caught in between. Other than that, happy flossing! xo

I'm sure they won't! You have to remember we are all obsessed with our teeth on here - regular people don't scrutinise mouths! Hope the trays come off ok for you. I can highly recommend the "outies" if you have difficulty getting them off over your attachments (I did!).
Hi Jilly rob...What are "outies"? I took them off for dinner...OMG they hurt. I thought my teeth would come out with them. Chewing was no fun. I kept biting my left cheek with every chew I had to hold my cheek out with a finger just so I could chew on the opposite side. I hope this corrects itself or I will be on a liquid diet.
I just saw the pic of the outie on your posts...I was given something similar but find it hard to use.
I don't know if you have the genuine one (picture?) - mine have the name in the side - but they are SO helpful with attachments. Just persevere and it will be worth it, believe me! You need to use a mirror and identify an area on the edge of your aligners at the back of your trays where there is a lip. Then hook the appropriate end under the lip and apply gentle but firm pressure up or down depending on which one you are on (the normal looking end is for upper tray, the staggered hook for lower) until it moves off your tooth. Once it does you can work forwards bit by bit and it just springs off. The attachments I have made it difficult to remove my trays using my nails as I couldn't get far enough into my mouth to get a grip!
Have started removing my bottom tray from the font today, gradually working from both sides to gently lift them over my attachments. The pain was way too intense yesterday from the pressure on the bottom front teeth if I tried to get them out the usual way. They say you shouldn't do this in the bumf as can cause splitting but no problems so far and it's much more comfortable :)
You will be fine, I know. Keep with it - you have done so well so far - and make sure you use heaps of wax on the attachments when your trays are out to protect your lips and cheeks.
Thanks so much for the helpful advice. I'll get wax today!!!! It's only that one spot that which I keep repeatedly biting that's causing a problem to eat. I'm only having water today at work as I don't want to take them out...had a huge breakfast to keep me going. Have a nice day ☺
I did the same on Tuesday - really missed my coffee!! The good news is that by Wednesday they were so much better so hope same for you. What a difference a day makes.. Also - hope the whole spiel about using the outies wasn't too much - I had to work it out through trial and (lots of) error so wondered if might help you as sounded like we had similar difficulties!
