Welllllll...it's been a while....I went back to...

Welllllll...it's been a while....I went back to work at the end of August and life has been SOOOO Busy!! I am back on the ambulance full time and this time of year is UBER busy for us. I am all healed up, the scars are fading nicely, and the girls are all soft and squishy again! I have a couple little spots that are numb on the surface but have sensation underneath. It's kinda hard to explain but it's like I have an itch, I scratch the skin but the message doesn't get to the part that itches.. LOL. It's been an experience. I am still ecstatic that I chose to have this surgery. Everything is so much easier and more comfortable. I am exercising again, currently torturing my self with Shaun T's Insanity and also back at Tae Kwon Do working towards my next belt, which is purple. I also signed up to run the Cheveron Houston Marathon 5K event this January. I hope everyone is healing nicely etc! Later!

Well I am ALMOST 6 weeks post op...ok ok..5 weeks...

Well I am ALMOST 6 weeks post op...ok ok..5 weeks 2 days... I am so ready to get back to the "gym" and start jogging and doing my workouts!! I did bite the bullet and mom and I went to Victoria's Secret. I bought 2 bras. 1 that is wireless and 1 with wire. BOTH GORGEOUS!! I am still swollen so i was fit with a 36DD and a 38 D, go figure.... the one salesgirl there had had breast surgery and assured me that my breasts will probably change alot over the next 6 months and said not to buy too many right now. But 2 HOOKS LADIES!! OMGoodness!! OMGoodness!!! I have been behaving and i have only worn the wireless... and about 5 hours is all i want of that...before i get a bit sore. which makes me wonder if I am going to be able to tolerate a full 24 hour shift with a bra on.... sigh... Might have to find some comfy sport bras.....to wear... anyways... I'm feeling great and the girls are looking good! I seriously need to take some post op pics.. .Hope everyone is doing well!!

I didn't post a pre-op story here... well because...

I didn't post a pre-op story here... well because I didn't find this place to after!! My story is the same as most... I had no boobs thru 6th grade and then in 7th grade, i woke up a C-cup... Literally.. I never owned a B-cup bra.. I went from a stretchy A cup to a C cup... sigh... by my senior year i bounced between C and D. I was a DD when I got married at 22/23... First child, nursed in a size F bra, then back to a DD, but probably need a DDD. Second child nurse in a H-cup, and back down to a DDD stuffed... but then as I grew older it seemed as my weight fluctuated... I would get smaller but my boobs got bigger.. I had a 38 G sports bra that was industrial strength so to speak... but probably needed an H or I... If I was being honest.... I never could find clothes to wear... any dress that I own is an A line dress 4 sizes too big to accomodate my boobs. This past year I had to buy a 3X button down shirt to just contain the girls... I had had enough. I had a consult before then with my mom's PS, She had BR 15+ years ago, but he didn't take insurance anymore and wanted 10K usd. That was depressing. Then in March my best friends mother had PS and my best friend said my mom loves this PS, you should check him out. Sooo, I did and he took my insurance and within 48 hours I had approval for surgery. I scheduled the surgery for July 10th. I showed up, they took me back, I had to put on the Hairdryer gown, special thigh high socks, got my IV started and waited. PS surgeon came marked me up and said see you in a few minutes. Anesthesia met us in OR but outside the actual suite. He said, "here's your cocktail" and that is the last thing I remember til I woke up in recovery.... trying to rip off the dryer gown I was HOT!!! and then I got sick.. UGH!!! I recovered for approximately 1 1/2 hours before they took me to my room! Stayed over night with a few minor complications with nausea. I ate breakfast and lunch and the doctor came removed my bandages, said everything looks good. The nurse reapplied my bandages and I was discharged to home. No post op surgical bra... just orders to stay on my back and see the doctor in 3 days. Drain the drains as needed. and then the rest of the story is above!

My best friend's mother used him for a breast reduction and body lift and told me about him. He and his staff make you feel very comfortable!! I would recommend him and his staff to anyone!!! Dr Casso and his staff are absolutely wonderful!! I had a few complications the night I went home and called his after hours number and HE answered the phone. He called in medications to help me with my situation, even giving me a number to reach him directly while trying to find a 24 hour pharmacy to help me. Dr Casso has been very professional and personable. I have had no infections and my breast look great so far even only 14 days post op. Everyone heals differently. I do know that with any surgery you HAVE to be idle and inactive for at least 7-10 days just to give your body time to do it's job---healing! I am SOOO impressed with the work Dr. Casso did with me!!
