Started the ClearCorrect Journey

Just started. Day 2 and my tongue is pretty sore on one side. I wish I could just sleep through it all lol. I feel like a teenager again but I guess it's better than traditional braces. Stay tuned for progress.

Don’t worry. It gets better. At first my tongue was sore and the inside of my lower lip. I was pretty darn miserable. To add insult to injury I spoke with a lisp the first couple weeks. August will be two years for me but I’m near the end of this clearcorrect journey.

Thanks! I am learning to deal with it. Orajel actually makes a mouth wash which really helps with the sore spots. Two years seems like forever! Was that your original estimate? Mine is supposed to be 6 months but I'm only 1 week into it. Fingers crossed!

My dentist gave me a bottle of periogard mouth wash and that helped tremendously. My original estimate was about 15 months. My top teeth weren’t too bad but my bottom row had severe over crowding. When we got down to the last set of trays we saw there was still work to be done so he did a revision. Had to retake the molds which is probably my least favorite part. I always feel like I’m going to choke to death of the goopy stuff running down the back of my throat. That revision still didn’t get 3 of my bottom teeth where they need to be so I just had another revision and those trays should be in next week. I don’t know how many trays will come in this last revision so I’m guessing it’s going to be a few more months for me. When I first started I felt like it was going to take forever but looking back I feel like the time has flown.

Tray 2

Doubles82
My first set of trays got better after the first week and were pretty loose the second week. So I was ready for my next set. Got tray 2 a day or two ago and it was TIGHT. But after I slept in it, my teeth didn't hurt so bad. My tongue still got cut up the first two days. I filed down the left bottom again last night and there was immediate relief. So I'm thinking there was something in the scan because it is only that one part that ever bothers me. Next time I will know, though, to get it fixed before I slice my tongue up. I can't really tell a difference, except in my bite. I definitely clench my teeth almost constantly, so that's an adjustment. I only have 9 or 10 trays total, which is awesome. Next tray, though, I will need to get those little bumps things added to my two bottom front teeth. A little worried about that. Stay tuned!
