Tummy Tuck with MR and Breast Lift

ORIGINAL POST

I gained 60 pounds with each of my 3 pregnancies!...

WORTH IT$10,400

I gained 60 pounds with each of my 3 pregnancies! I am currently 5'3 and 142 pounds. I have been left with a large amount of saggy skin on my abdomen. I have wanted a tummy tuck for 2 years now. I finally made an appointment with a plastic surgeon and had my first consultation.

He suggested a fleur-de-lis tummy tuck with lipo of the flanks in order for me get the desired look I want! All I need to do now is schedule the appointment! I am just so scared. I am worried about complications and the amount of pain that I am seeing from posts on here! I know this is what I want, I just have to do it!

Hey neighbor,.don't be nervous, we all were at one time or another. I was not in any serious pain.at all, just a little for the first 3 days. If this is what u trully want, u should go for it. Good luck

A fleur de Lis? Do you have major loose skin? You should post a pic even if its faceless. That was my first step. I did not need a FDL.

Yeah i have a lot of loose skin. He said I don't have to get the fleur de lis but if I want to be flat and not have a muffin top, then thats what he suggests. I will post pics soon hopefully. I have taken some pics and then quickly deleted them cause I can't stand looking at them. Lol.

You can do this! I was terrified too but the pain is more inconvenient than anything else. I was surprised by how manageable it was. Don't let the idea of pain stop you- its not bad and the meds make it all OK. You deserve to love your body.

Hi there. I don't think anyone goes into this decision without being scared of some element of the process: the cost, the surgery, the recovery - maybe all three! However, if it's what you really want to do then don't let it be fear that stops you. Fear, on the whole, is a self made emotion and we can embrace it, understand it but ultimately ignore it and head for our goals! Keep posting on here. We all have different perspectives, experiences and therefore advice to give. Good luck with your decision.

Dont feel bad. I paid for mine yesterday and I cried too. I am struggling with believing this is actually going to happen. Hang in there and hopefully we can both remember that it will be worth it in the end.

I just read your profile! I don't care about scars either. I just want a flat stomach, so I am having the fleur de lis. I wonder how much pain we will be in with more than one incision? I'm crying because I'm scared! I can't believe that I am going through with this! I wish you the best! I will be watching you closely!! You are only a couple weeks before me! Are you as nervous as I am?? It is consuming my life!! I can't wait til it's over!!

Yes I am scared to death. I hope to get some "before" pics up soon so you can see what I'm talking about but trust me, my belly is so gross. I'm thinking the pain will be pretty bad with more than one incision, and the thoughts are comsuming me too. I guess we are normal but geez...enough already.

What is a fleur-de-lis tummy tuck ?
January 8, 2013
The incision is both horizontal and vertical. Looks like an upside down T. I'm not concerned about the scar, I just want the flattest look I can get and since I have a lot of excess skin above my belly button, my PS suggested it.

I am scheduled for the 31st of this month!! Less than 2 weeks away! I'm excited and super nervous at the same time! I changed my plan at my pre-op the other day. I'm not having lipo anymore. Getting a breast lift instead!' Hope the anxiety doesn't kill me before my big day!!
