Road to recovery

WORTH IT$7,983
I cannot believe it’s been 7 days; I feel amazing , but still not able to get comfortable in bed. The recliner has become my new bestie! The drain lines are driving me crazy – output has tampered off but not enough to pull them. On that note, Things I did not anticipate:
•having a TT recovery wardrobe – I bought plenty of losing fitting activewear pants… however, tee dresses would be way more comfortable because of the drain lines and incision. Running out to buy some tomorrow. ?
•I was not prepared for the back spasms and pain … The tummy pain is bearable, other than an occasional shooting pain or unexpected burning sensation…however, as I become more mobile the startling back spasms that stops me dead in my tracks . Whoa, I need muscle relaxers more than the pain meds.
•The amount of aftercare, assistance needed. My family has been wonderful, husband took last week off work. Our daughter is home from college; this week she is staying home with me until my husband gets off work. She’s doing all the cooking, and keeping the house tidy… to ensure that I’m well rested and make a speedy recovery. I’m so, blessed! I could not imagine going through this without them.
Everyday I’m feeling better, Thanking God for my many blessings and opportunities.

How lovely! Your scar looks good! You look good! I didn't anticipate the after wear much either. I've worn my pretty pajama bottoms and dressed it up with a tank and button down shirt left open, and tucked in my drains, bulbs also. The only drawback is that I look like I have balls. Lol...as my daughter so eloquently put it. I tell you though....all these different ailments and discomfort is so worth the end result. It's great that you're having good days! I wish all the rest of your recovery days are the same.
Congratulations on your TT. I wish you a speedy recovery! I had a TT, BL and lipo. Lipo pain is the worst! TT & BL have no pain. I do have swell hell, in my abdomen and back. It goes and comes. Got to watch salt intake! There is salt in everything! Good luck with your healing.
Thank you. It amazing what a week makes... I'm feeling so much better. I still have one drain line in and the swell is rel...not sure what the final results will look like but so far I'm pleased. I look forward to future results.
