48 Year Old Wants to Fix Her Tummy :)

My husband is the one who gets grossed out in our relationship. I thought he might faint or like when my doc told him how to clear the drain lines :)

Oh gosh! Mine knew going into this those drains were gonna be his job and he did really well.

Thanks! However this morning I have swelling I've never had before. I'm afraid that they took my drain out too soon. I'm trying to get psyched up to call my doc now :(

I have read about swell hell a million times on here so I am wondering if that is what you are going through? Did you do too much yesterday? I have read a couple of women say whenever they overdid it they swelled like crazy! Hopefully that is all it is!

That's what the nurse told me. I also had 2 adult beverages last night. I found out that causes swelling. I believe that is the culprit :(

Thank you! I would get a shower seat and one of those hand held shower heads with a long hose. I got mine from Amazon. The seat was 35 and the showerhead was 10. Totally worth it!

Stay away from alcohol during recovery. I had 2 drinks the night before last and I'm still swollen-totally not worth it!

I will keep that in mind! I'm not much of a drinker anyway, but I definitely will avoid it!

Most of the time I can stand up pretty straight. If I'm not wearing my binder I hunch over without realizing it. I didn't start to really swell until I went back to work at 2 weeks. Evev though I have a desk job the swelling is real! Its not painful but it is uncomfortable.

You have no idea how much better this makes me feel! I keep questioning myself (like I have a real clue) with the whole compression thing or not. I did not have lipo so I wonder is it protocol with most dr's with both procedures or what? I'm not to wear anything until after the first month and then there are certain ones he approves. But this lower abdomen/mons area swelling is creeping me out. Don't get me wrong, I needed to be fixed but before it matched, ya know? My husband (like he knows either, LOL) assures me with what we've just gone through, it is normal, has to be.
Talk about not having patience... I've just been feeling like some ugly duckling waiting to turn into a beautiful swan and wishing this healing part would be quicker... I'm just glad I'm not alone here with the man package thing going on.

I first happened the day after my last drain came out so I freaked out and called my doc. Part of me hoped it was just fluid so it would be a quick fix. No luck. As far as feeling like a swan. I feel pretty good but no one has said anything to me yet. Oh well. I do feel WAY less dumpy and old so I guess that's all that matters.

Lol! I'll feel less dumpy and old when I can stand up straight and walk right. Made a trip to Wal-Mart today and had to quit before I was done. I'm scared to push it too much. I'm still trying to take it as easy as possible. This is very hard for me to do.

I am feeling great! I have been sleeping in my own bed for the past few nights! The quality of sleep is so much better! I am not standing up perfectly straight but I am close! I have a PS appt later today to get my last drain out! Ill post pics after that.
