Horrible Results - Cincinnati, OH

I didn't think my results could get any worse, but my nose has collapsed even more. It looks even more pinched now and my breathing is deteriorating. It also hurts sometimes due to the pressure of the remaining weakened cartilage. I'm counting down the days til my revision and hoping this new surgeon can rebuild the missing structure mandell brown removed from my nose. If you are considering a rhinoplasty please please please stay away from this man. He will destroy your nose and your life!!!!

I decided to get a rhinoplasty to remove the hump from my nose and to lift my slightly droopy tip. I was never expecting perfection, but hoped for an improvement. I researched surgeons and decided on Dr. Mandell-Brown because he emphasized how he strives for the "natural" look when performing rhinoplastys. My results, however, are far from natural looking and are far worse than I could have ever predicted. My once straight nose is now severely crooked where my nasal bones shift to the left and my whole nose forms a c shape. I also have internal nasal valve collapse on both sides (more severe on my right side) and a retracted left nostril. My nose looks so deformed that I have lost most of my confidence and dread going out in public. I shared my concerns with Dr. Mandell-Brown and he didn't acknowledge any of my issues and just said everything looks great. Even when I pointed out my obvious nasal valve collapses his only response was sometimes cartilage weakens because of surgery and he couldn't do anything about it. First of all my cartilage was not weakened during surgery it was removed by his antiquated techniques. Secondly, a true rhinoplasty specialist would know that you could add cartilage grafts to fix the collapses. I have since found a revision rhinoplasty surgeon and have a scheduled revision in a few months. I just pray that he can somewhat fix the mistakes Dr. Mandell-Brown made.
