I first would like to start by saying that if you have already met or want to meet with Dr. Mendelsohn - great work! He's the best. While growing up I hated my nose. I had a more ethnic looking nose, with a larger hump on the top as well as the tip of my nose drooping down a tiny bit. I always hated it, mostly my profile. I finally decided to make a change. I knew Dr. Mendelsohn was who I was going to go to. My mom has been going to him for over 10 years and the subtle changes that she has done couldn't look any more natural and most importantly couldn't look any more beautiful. I'm serious, my mom is 55 going on 35. I know being a young adult, the idea of plastic surgery can sound scary - it's really not! Being 25, and especially in Cincinnati I think that people aren't as comfortable with plastic surgery as other people may be in bigger cities like LA, etc so it's hard to feel comfortable when you have friends making comments that are not only extreme and untrue but without any basis knowledge on the topic. I had friends make comments like "I hope you don't look like a different person!" The point of plastic surgery and in my case, a rhinoplasty is to just make a natural, softer enhancement for yourself. You're not going to look like a different person, Dr. Mendelsohn knows what he's doing! As you may be able to tell, I couldn't love my nose anymore. My friends were shocked how simple and easy it was. There as no pain, a little discomfort like a stuffy nose when you have a cold but that's really it. I was back at work after about a week or so. It came and went so fast. Don't let anyone's comments influence your decision, know that Dr. Mendelsohn is really an artist and is a perfectionist. Everyone at his office I love, the entire experience 1-10, a 12. Just excellent. I get lip injections as well from him and my lips are perfect! I love them. He does not over do them, talks to you about what results you're looking for and makes sure you will be happy! If you are thinking about getting any type of surgery from Dr. Mendelsohn and would like to have either my mom or I talk to you or answer any questions - please ask Dr. Mendelsohn to let us know. He knows who we are! Also, this is more for the young adults who are reading this -- don't watch the show Botched! Those are extreme cases and remember it's for pure entertainment. Do not let those type of shows intimidate you! I've had several friends say "well haven't you seen such and such, what if it looks worse?" It won't, Dr. Mendelsohn is so kind and honest! He will give you his honest opinions and do the best decision for you. He wants you to look good too! :)
