I have struggled with my weight for years as an adult. After my third child, I began really focusing on running and realized even after getting close to my goal weight that I would never look how I wanted with my "mother's apron" and my saggy breasts. My surgery is tomorrow and I am beyond nervous. I have spent a ton of time searching through real self and the pictures and info have been so valuable and helpful and therefor wanted to document my journey for the betterment of the community. Here goes nothing...

2 days post op, Feeling pretty swollen
WeasleyIsOurKingJuly 17, 2015
Like I said, I'm feeling pretty swollen, especially in the breast area. One breast seems more swollen then the other. Time is measured by when I can have my next pain pill. They had me stay over night at the surgical facility where I had the procedure and I am very thankful for that opportunity. I was the only person staying overnight with 3 nurses. It was great piece of mind. I'm trying to avoid infection which is a little nerve wrecking. I have no compression garments because Dr. Martin said it was unnecessary.
The biggest surprises for me so far are: the difficulty in peeing (it's more of a release - how long does that last??) and trying to walk around in a V - shape, which just seems to be me acting like the hunchback of Notre Dame.
Sorry if this post is rambling, my head is a little fuzzy from the meds I think.

Already looking great! The difficulty peeing is probably due to the pain medication. Try going before you take the pain meds, or shortly after if possible. When you are on the toilet, run the faucet. This has helped me when I've had difficulty peeing. This passed for me after 3-4 days once I got used to the pain meds. Another thing I noticed with my MM, I was actually WAY more swollen once I got home than I was in the hospital. If you have any spanx, wear them at night. Your PS may have deemed it unnecessary, but I've noticed that it helps. I get more swollen when I don't wear it vs. when I do. Also, watch your sodium intake. Too much salt and you will blow up like a baloon!!
If they gave you any muscle relaxers, those may help with the tightness you're feeling. Especially in the breasts. That's what my nurse told me. They gave me valium and I notice that it really does help a little bit when the bust area starts feeling too tight. Plus it knocks me out. When you're knocked out, you don't feel anything lol.
Good luck with your recovery and congratulations! You will have your up's and down's but it will go by fast, and you will be feeling better before you know it! :)

It'll get better, I woke up on day 4 feeling so much better! I would suggest some sort of spanks simply because it feels good to have something tight on you.. hope you wake up feeling better!

Hi! So I'm new to this site and I've been checking this site for reviews of docs in the Cincinnati area. What hospital did you have your surgery and what was the cost? Was the overnight stay planned in advance or deemed necessary the day of? I'd also love it if you could add a pic a year out post op. I'm so nervous!! Thanks for sharing it helps answer some of my questions!
