Minimal makeup. We are approaching the 2 year mark for my surgery and I have lost a few pounds recently. Praying for good health, happiness, and guidance from Heaven...that is truly what one needs in their life. Stay beautiful and healthy!
Hi Fara! Thanks for your update. Now that you're at the 2 year mark how much of the fat do you think you have retained from the transfer?
That’s a hard question because I gained / lost a few pounds because of my thyroid disorder (hypothyroidism) along the way. Overall I feel most of the fat (minus the swelling and after the first 3-4 months) stayed but it behaves like natural fat (if you gain weight- you gain it in your face too...same as loosing it). My cheeks, temporal area, eyes, and chin definitely retained well. I hope that you are doing well.
The only area that it is difficult to retain is lips for me.
Maybe under eye area because I was extremely hollow too.
Hi Fara! You look so beautiful and vibrant..I hope all is well. I still haven't had the chance to do mine as too many lifeevents ongoing but soon. I pray you remain healthy my love. You look stunning.
Thank you so much. I hope that you are doing great doll. I have not been in here in forever because so busy. We need to catch up. I do know that he is doing PRP with all fat transfer now. Thank you for the kind words.
You are looking good!
Can you post more pictures that show your chin area and profile, thanks
I will try to locate some old photos and new ones for you. My chin is def one of my worse features in my opinion but he did a great job considering I do not have an implant...though I still consider a small one from time to time Bc you can only transfer so much fat to the chin area. If you see my before photos you would understand why I think I need one. If you look at my profile photos posted above you will get a good idea. I’ll see what I can find just give me some time.
Thank you doll!
I’m looking. I’m just busy with Thanksgiving. I literally had no chin before the fat transfer.
I am going to try to get on my boyfriend’s computer to see if he has recent photos of my chin and neck, prior to surgery. Remember I’m looking or photos 2 years ago without any Botox or filler for you. Are you wanting a side profile photo or what?
Could you please give your age or age range. It would be helpful to compare results. Thank you
If you read my post above, my age is posted in each pic. Today I am 37 (approaching 38 in a few months).

Fara!! You look amazing! Since we are both patients of Dr. Donath, it is especially exciting for me to see just how beautiful the fat transfer had held up for you! Seriously, thanks to the internet, and Real Self, and finding your review on here a year ago... my life was changed! :)
Thank you doll. You look fabulous yourself! That's 1 year post op. It's so nice to feel confident enough to go out without wearing a full face of makeup. Your results look so natural and amazing. I love how smooth his fat transfer feels.
You can certainly tell I have no makeup on bc of how fair my skin appears. I use SPF daily. I was in Punta Cana in those photos. Before my fat transfer my skin appeared transparent without makeup. You have beautiful skin by the way!
Hi, Did he treat the under eye area as well?
Oh yes. That was one of my worst areas for hollowness. My chin looks so much better as well. You can see my before photos posted in earlier posts. My skin appeared thin under my eyes before the transfer as well. Dr. Donath and I discussed a touch up under the eyes but I dread another surgery. He stands by his work. I'm considering it though. It's been a year now and the results held up well!
If you have thin skin and are of fair complexion, be careful using fillers bc they can appear grey if overused. I only used a 3-6 month filler in my under eye are many years ago but I have a friend, who is fair skin, that overused under eye fillers and the outcome appeared grey. If you decide on under eye filler, be very selective on who you allow to do those. I have saw Dr. Donath's under eye filler and it appears amazing. Just be selective.
Thank you..But did you get fat under your eyes?
Yes.
My eyes were so hollow that you could see my orbital rim under my eye.
Thank you..it looks wonderful. I just read the under eye area is questionable when it comes to fat grafting but i believe thats surgeon dependent. M
Also, I actually really like the overfilled babydoll look and that's what i would be aiming for.I know complications usually arise when its overfilled by im wondering if that's just do to surgeons skill (not inserting fat deep enough etc) Or maybe its better to do two separate surgeries to get the desired look.Do you know anything about this matter? Im actually from Canada and i have a feeling this is the right doctor for me.
Due* Im a 30 year old woman and I lost alot of fat in my face due to fitness competitions and I would loveee to have your fullness!
Today is my consult for the follow up. From what I understand fat is most successfully transferred in reasonable amounts with 1-2 surgeries. You definitely do not want overfill as it is very hard to correct and can result in lumps and abnormalities in the areas being transferred. Weight training / exercise and weight loss / changes had impacted my face so much. I am 37 years old now. I think that the lips are the hardest area to get the fat to stay. I'll keep everyone posted on what Dr. Donath says this afternoon.
Do you think you have enough fat for the transfer? I have a friend who is very thin who had a very successful fat transfer but I also know how lean one becomes during competitions. My personal trainer is a past Mr. Ohio and I have a friend who competes but she I older than you. You are very young and may not need the entire face done. He can take the fat from your stomach, thighs, or hips. I do know that he transfers a moderate amount of fat to your face during the initial transfer because I was very swollen but I was also very hollow. There is another review on this site for Donath's fat transfer and she stated the amount he transferred. Honestly it's not all about the amount transferred, it's about the surgeon's technique who is performing the transfer. The reason I liked Donath is because he is very approachable, he will not do the surgery unless he feels that you will benefit from it, he was the only doctor who noticed the details of my face (temporal area sunken in, bunny lines, details of my eyes / inner corner shadows) on his own, and he stands by his work (so hard to find that esp with fat transfer).
Thank you for the information and your time.I defintely have enough fat..I'm not very lean at the moment.I did a number on my face by taking estrogen blockers for comp and it really did a number on the fat in my face.Im eastern European and my mom and siblings both have full chubby cheeks but mine has gotten very flat because of the crazy dieting.Thank you for sharing..its been super super helpful.
Well I think that you are beautiful and that your facial bone structure is well suited for fat transfer. I'm dealing with hormonal issues myself and it's been a roller coaster. I'll pm you later today.
Taureantiger. I love your cheekbones. I know you dont but wow! People pay big money to get what you jave natyrally
Have naturally.. Sorry
I agree with you. Taureantiger is a living doll!
what lol i dont see it loll but thank you! My FACE is too small for my body loll
you are too kind lol
post the touch up
Not sure if I'm having the touch up but I will keep everyone posted. Oh and by the way this is my page and I'll pos whatever I want. Thank you very much!
no reason to be rude..i wrote that in an excited manner..im well aware you dont have to post anything.
You look great! Was the scar for your neck lift around the ear? What areas of the face did you have fat transfer? How many Mls of fat did doctor transfer?
Thank you so much doll! I do not have scars as of today! I had a Submental tuck (not a neck lift). I had no scars around my ear area. I had one single stitch behind each ear and a tiny incision under my chin. I am not sure about the amount of fat transferred. Fat grafting was done throughout my entire face (cheeks, temporal area, entire area area, brow area, chin area, lips, around the mouth, etc).
I had my follow up this afternoon and it went great. We discussed some new possible procedures for the future as well as the possible retouch. However I remain undecided on doing a retouch to the orbital rim and lips. I see him next month and am weighing out my options. He is glad to retouch my orbital rim and lips, as requested. He's so approachable but I'm also willing to be educated and I'm somewhat realistic on expectations but he exceeded those by far for this price! I am so happy to have Dr. Donath. The volume in my eye lids are unreal. I'm still considering my options. My next procedure will likely be a breast augmentation revision or a chin implant by Dr. Donath..of course!

I am amazed with Dr. Donath's work. He corrected my chin and jaw line by using fat transfer, lipo, and a submental tuck only. That required great skill. I look like a different person. This is one of the best investments I ever made.

Looks awesome! Bet you're glad you had the courage to do it. You weren't too bad before but now wow!
Thank you doll. No courage required for Dr. Donath...I would do a second surgery tomorrow if he offered. I trust my face to this man! Hidden gem!
You don't need anything now! Enjoy you're beautiful face!
I'm amazed too! He's sure a genius and you're looking beautiful as ever!
You are stunning as always. Thank you my friend!
Looks amazing Fara! Thanks to your review I am meeting him Sept 8 for my consultation. He really gave you the look you had hoped for, and I am glad to hear you are happy with the investment! You look great!
how far out were you when you felt like the fat was permanent? You look great! I'm 19 days out and hoping I retain everything I have from here on out. I agree, if this works, it is one of the best investments I've made. No longer do I have the hollowed out sickly face looking back at me. Praying to God that it stays. I know God has bigger issues, but hoping for some wellness for my face. Am happy to go for a touchup in a year or so if needed, if even %50 is viable this time around.
Fat is living tissue. I feel like you have a good idea after 4-5 months. My doctor advises to wait 1 year before deciding if you want a retouch on any areas. Who performed your transfer?
Dr. Tanuj Nakra. I am pleased overall with the results. I went to him because he is an occuloplastic surgeon and I wanted someone who knows how to handle the sensitive tissues around the eyes. All I need to do is look at the pre fat transfer photos and know that I look so much healthier.
Is he located in Texas? If so I think that my friend just mentioned him the other day as she is on the market for facial plastic surgery. Great choice. I appreciate occuloplastic surgeons as I had bilateral vein removal around my eyes before. You will love the results of the fat transfer compared to facial fillers.
Hi Fara - You look beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I know you mentioned who removed the blue vein under your eye but I can't find his name right now. Would you mind mentioning that again. Who did it, what the procedure was like and recovery period as well as an approximate cost. I wish I had the nerve to do this as my eyes and face are so terribly hollow.
What did you have done to your upper eyelids?
Fat transfer only. Dr. Donath refers to this as "Luxe Eyes". No additional procedures other than fat transfer.
I had FT to the upper eyelids too. I wonder if the placement was different than yours. I will look more closely.
Donath does the upper eyelids, a bit above brow if needed, lower eye area, inner area, outer area, and the temporal area. He calls this "Luxe eyes". You can read about it on his website. The result is amazing. I look healthy and awake now.
