WORTH IT
Dr. Mendelsohn very personable and made me feel comfortable before, during and after the procedure. Entire staff wonderful to be around. First night definitely the worst as wrapped up and uncomfortable, but did go shopping and walking that evening! Did not take any pain meds except a few tylenol the entire time. Worked the next day - with hair down nothing noticeable to anyone else - very slight bruising. After stitches out at one week - pretty much back to normal. Tomorrow is 2 weeks - and the difference is amazing - all swelling is nearly gone. Neck is smooth - fullness in cheeks is back where it should be. Several people have asked if I did my hair different - telling me how good I look. They can't tell what it is - but it definitely worked and I am very pleased with the entire experience.

Congratulations on your facelift! That's great you didn't need much as far as pain medication. Where are most of your incision/stitches? Were you able to blow dry your hair the following week for work?

Stitches are along inner part of ear on side of cheek - on the back in the crease between neck and ear. Unseen really - I am the only one who knows they are there. Yes - I blow dryed my hair the very next day after bandages were taken off and I was able to take a shower. If you can wear your hair down to cover the sides of your face/ears after surgery the only noticeable thing is the swelling - otherwise it is easy to camouflage!

Wow, it sounds like you had a flawless and smooth recovery. It seems like most patients are somewhat bruised and swollen. Glad you could hide the stitches with your hair and go about your business!
