Not infected
the last pic is the latest one and it's not infected at all I know when I'm getting infection it's just not healing properly or fast enough from radiation I received to my right lung just over a year ago this wasn't anything wrong my dr did he's a great dr and Id do it again if I had the choice to make again I love the weight that was lifted off me right after surgery and my pain level has dropped too so I'm very happy with my choice

My concern was the open tissue....
Im not seeing my dr for 2 weeks praying I've done some healing by then but the last pic posted was recent I will post new ones after my next dr visit but honestly from many pics I've seen my reduction looks awesome except the spot that im having healing problems with
I am using Salene saltwater on gauze over it and covering twice a day I make sure everything is clean to prevent infection so far so good no infection
that looks like it hurts really bad

Wow!! That is one big open wound!! Yet you seem so positive. I sincerely hope it improves for you. I had a hole develop after my BR and it's still scabbed and healing x8wks on !! I think this is going to take some serious time to heal - if not a skin graft or stitch closure! I hope not tho x
It is really big and im about 8 weeks post I can tell over the past week it's starting to heal alittle but I'm thinking im gonna have to have a skin graph too . My concern is im a single mother and my children's father past away on March 19 so im providing for them by myself . I really need to go back to work and im scared of how long this will take to heal so I may return
i hope yours heals with no further surgery

i decided I was having this much needed breast reduction since Id had huge boobs since I was 10 yrs old and they only got bigger so this was needed for 30 yrs they caused me back problems among many other problems I went to a 38C and im more than happy what size I am but I've had some healing problems on my right breast f
Due to besting lung cancer last year I went threw chemo and radiation then part of lung was removed im having healing problems due to what radiation did to my skin but even going threw this awful pain it's still well worth it to me to feel so much lighter I don't feel like I'm gonna tip over

Ma'am, have you gone back to see your surgeon? That looks very infected and should NOT be so exposed.
You need to go to emergency right this second that is not normal. I have had a breast reduction and I can tell you you are at risk for serious infection.
You need wet to dry wound care ASAP. You will heal but also need antibiotics, call your doctor, and don't be scared to shower.
It's not infected so he says I don't need antibiotics and I clean it twice a day plus shower daily but nothing can hurt as bad as putting Salene saltwater on an open wound ouch but honestly I just wanted to see if it was normal for me to still not be healing but I saw a woman 4 months after the same thing happened that did to me and hers looked worse than mine and had much more time to heal so I think I'm healing slow but I'm healing
Oh my goodness ma'am that looks horribly infected. may I ask if your surgeon was board-certified the fact that he told you that it was OK when it looked all black like that how are you doing five years later??
