I will echo everything everyone has said about Dr. C on this forum. A lot of people gave me a weird look when I said he doesn't do digital "after" photos and in his book of noses I only saw one like mine (most had "bumps" on their noses). But based on the results I have seen here and our consultation I think I made the right decision. Cost was $7,000 for the operation, $700 for the anesthesiologist, and $150 for the bloodwork. I was so nervous going in today but when he walked me through all the technical details of what he was going to do for some reason that gave me a lot of comfort. Nurses were super nice as well as the anesthesiologist. One second I was on the table and the next I was waking up so that was a breeze. I am not feeling any pain and do not even look very swollen, which the nurse also commented on saying I look better than a lot of people do coming out. The only complaint I had was the dry mouth I had from the Dramamine. I expect there will be bruising and swelling soon. I am taking Arnica tablets and icing around my eyes and face. Day 2 - Had trouble sleeping the night before because I absolutely hate breathing out of my mouth! Everytime I'd fall asleep I'd wake myself up trying to breathe through my nose. My throat hurt this morning from sleeping with my mouth open too, so I took one of the lozenges the office gave me. During the day I felt fine - there was still no swelling but even so I'd ice my face. Still taking the Arnica 4x a day for bruising. I also removed the 'mustache' dressing and began to clean out my nose gently with a q-tip and hydrogen peroxide, which cleared out some of the hard blood in there. I can actually breathe a little! I took a vicodin in the evening to fall asleep, but woke up at around 1AM. Went to the bathroom and saw a lot of swelling just starting to happen, but I put an ice pack on it when I went back to bed and slept with it on. Day 3 - Woke up with just a little swelling and bruising - drowsy from the vicodin but overall still in good shape! Can breathe a little better today and I'm hoping by tomorrow I'll be able to sleep without mouth breathing!
