Please note that he is not a certified plastic surgeon. He is a physician that converted over doing cosmetic procedures.
I had a good consultation with this Dr about having a gynecomastia surgery for my minor puffy nipples. I didn't have a lot of gland and we both agreed that it would be a minimal, quick procedure with excision only. The incisions were to be placed along the areola border so that the scars will be invisible. The staff were nice and accommodating. I was excited and looking forward to having the procedure as a gift to myself and finally getting it done after years of thoughts.
With great regret, the procedure turned into a nightmare. I was the last person to go into the operating room, 1.5 hours behind schedule on a Thursday which turned out to be a 4 day weekend for the DR. I should have backed out right then and there. The DR came in, placed his markings, and in I went as a confident person. I woke up partially during the procedure hearing the DR yelling at the nurses about something and saying how I was bleeding a lot. I didn't think much of it until a few months later when the final results were realized. The DR excised too much tissue on my right-hand side which creates a crater defect. The nipple has then scarred down to the muscle fascia due to the lack of fatty tissue to support it as it normally would. The left-side he did a good job on the contour. The left-side incision however was NOT within the areola border and hence created a nasty hypertrophic scar.
This took an immense toll on me mentally and I urge everyone who considers a procedure here to get a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th opinion from an actual plastic surgeon.
