Since loosing 20-30kgs 8years ago, my breast felt large, empty and saggy. I haven't even had any children! I have had self confidence issues due to being very unhappy at how my breasts felt and looked. I really wanted breast surgery. But for me, making the decision to go under the knife was a hard one. I knew what I wanted but I had lots of concerns about surgery. I first visited the lovely Dr Choy 3yrs ago for a consultation for a breast lift with implants. While Dr Choy gave me all the information and made me confident in his skills, I was still unsure if breast surgery was the path I wanted to go down. Fast forward to 2017, and many summers feeling crappy in swimmers. And realizing that I really need to do something with myself confidence I re-visited Dr Choy and prepared to go ahead with the surgery of a lifetime. This time I was determined to get the surgery. It had been on my mind for years, I’ve weighed the pros and cons in my mind and decided it is the time for change. Dr Choy’s cheerful, warm manner reminded me I was in the right hands. On the day of my consult my procedure was discussed again and his team booked me in for my big day. He even squeezed me in earlier to allow me enough recovery time to march in the ANZAC day parade. My big day arrived quickly and as soon as I walked into the hospital everything moved so seamlessly. Nursing staff were kind and cheery. The anesthetist was attentive and listened to my concerns and let me ask any more questions I had about pain relief. Then came in Dr Choy, he drew his art on my droopy chest and reconfirmed with me that the natural looking D/DD sized breast was what I was after. When I woke from surgery I looked down and saw the most beautiful full and high breasts. I felt relief and excitement! My recovery has been a breeze, I had minimal pain and discomfort. What helped was that I was fit and healthy before surgery and made an effort walk around every day and drink lots of water post surgery. Dr Choy staff was always available for all my calls and text messages in the days leading up to and after surgery. Now 13 days post op, I am happy and proud of my new breasts. They are just what Dr Choy and I had discussed. I have had the big tapes taken off and a lot of the swelling has subsided. I am excited for summer and being able to wear swimmers with confidence.
