Consultation review: I trust Dr. Eppley - met him once

ORIGINAL POST

I Trust Dr. Eppley. Met Him Once. Great Experience

I met Dr. Eppley in June of 2016.

He is a familiar face to me at this point, having answered many of my questions on this website and by email. I think he is a great guy; very attentive to detail and thoughtful in his responses and he and his staff kept me comfortable during my consultation. Though I never followed through on any real procedure with him I felt comfortable to trust him had I wished!

Thanks for your consultation review! It'd be great to know if you opted for a different procedure/treatment in the end?

I ended up not getting anything done at all, but my interest in other areas had been renewed by my visit, like when he told me my facial bones overall are small and underdeveloped.
Hi. I am curious why did you not choose to augment your small bone structure with implants? Do you need maxillofacial movement first?
@susp
I had been concerned about my chin since mid 2012, after I had my braces removed. And I even made a consultation with another surgeon in early 2013. But in the end I was uncomfortable with foreign implants inside me. I didn't have enough money for the jaw surgery thing. I was a bit concerned about jaw narrowing. I think I will eventually have to get some procedure done while I'm still young. brow, cheeks, my jaws,...all small for my face. It sucks.
I know someone with similar issues who had comprehensive implants with Dr Eppley. Result has been good but yes it is expensive.
hey. I know Eppley does juvederm treatment for a variety of things. I tested some in 2014, with his nurse. Do you know if he uses them near the eye area? seems kinda risky.
namely, infraorbital rim region.
Best to ask his office. He does do implants under eyes. I do not think it is particularly dangerous.
I know some people who have had infra orbital implants with no issues. Both with Dr E and with other surgeons.
well, dr eppley is a very knowledgeable surgeon, as far as i know. and having had a genioplasty myself, i believe, after all the research i did, therere 2 golden rules for the bone advancement/lengthening of the chin: 1) the chin length must be 2 times the length of the philtrum. 2) in profile, the Ricketts criteria is the most attractive one: in a line that goes from the tip of the nose to the tip of the ideal chin, lips should be 2 (lower) and 4 (upper) mms behind it.
To be honest I don't think that ideal is feasible for me. Even at doc office I told him maybe I'd prefer a midway advancement to the maximum. Im not even after an ideal chin I think it'd look kinda narrow from the front view.
Perhaps a tightening of the neck. Did you get any loose skin tightened?
May I ask who did your genioplasty? Do you have photos? I am scared away by the lack of photos with these reviews but the ones on he website are photoshopped.
sorry, i just saw this today...a narrow chin can be made wider filing it a little, and no, no skin tightened cause i didnt have any loose skin, but the advancement itself tightens the neck skin, taking it forward along with the bone.
Dr Bennun , a craniofacial doc in Argentina.I do have pix,i have to upload them . you shouldnt be scared but informed, and if i were you id always go with a good maxilofacial surgeon, they know this subject the best, better than a lot of plastic surgeons.
